Gio Reyna

Club: Borussia Dortmund
Position: Midfielder
Age: 19
Bundesliga games this season: 10
Starts: 6

2021/22

Inheriting the No.7 jersey from Jadon Sancho, Reyna reached 50 Bundesliga appearances on Matchday 3, marking the occasion with his second goal of the campaign, but has missed the majority of the season through a series of injuries.

Last matchday

Reyna's season was ended by injury in the Matchday 29 win at Stuttgart.

Tyler Adams

Club: RB Leipzig

2021/22

Adams started all four of Leipzig's league and cup games to kick-off 2021/22, but was in and out of the side thereafter due to injury, long international journeys and a managerial change.

Last matchday

Adams came on for the last 18 minutes as Leipzig rescued a late point in Bielefeld on a day they secured another season of Champions League football.

John Brooks

Brooks featured in 31 of Wolfsburg's 34 Bundesliga matches in his final season at the club, scoring on Matchday 32.

Last matchday

Brooks was given a warm reception on his 216th and final competitive outing for Wolfsburg. The American was withdrawn late in the 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich.

Chris Richards

Club: Hoffenheim (on loan from Bayern Munich)

Richards made the most of a second straight loan stint at Hoffenheim, ahead of his summer 2022 return to parent club Bayern.

Last matchday

Richards played 45 minutes for Hoffenheim in their Matchday 30 draw with Greuther Fürth. However, a muscle tendon injury has since put paid to the defender's season.

Julian Green

Green's first season in the Bundesliga for six years ended in relegation back to Bundesliga 2. He's still without a top-flight goal.

Timothy Tillman 

Club: Greuther Fürth

Tillman became a regular under Stefan Leitl in 2021/22. He produced a goal and three assists, but couldn't keep Greuther afloat.

Tillman lasted 87 minutes of Fürth's 2-1 defeat to Augsburg.

Lennard Maloney

Club: Borussia Dortmund

German-American defender Maloney was given his first taste of Bundesliga football on Matchday 9, coming on in the 88th minute in place of Mats Hummels as Dortmund won 3-1 at Arminia Bielefeld. He was promoted to the first team in March 2022, playing the final five minutes of Dortmund's 2-1 win over Bielefeld on Matchday 26.

Last matchday

Maloney wasn't included in the squad for BVB's win over Hertha Berlin on Matchday 34. He will join Bundesliga 2's Heidenheim in the summer.

Malik Tillman

Starting the season with the Bayern reserves, Tillman scored for the seniors in the DFB Cup round. Following cameos in the UEFA Champions League and Bundesliga, he made his full top-flight debut on Matchday 18.

The USMNT international - who joined Augsburg in the January transfer window - became the second American to play for the club in the Bundesliga after Michael Parkhurst, when he made his debut as a sub in a 3-1 loss at Hoffenheim. He made 11 appearances all told, but will have to wait until next season to score his first Bundesliga goal.

Pepi didn't make if off the bench in Augsburg's season-ending win over Fürth.

George Bello

Club: Arminia Bielefeld

Bello began the season with MLS side Atlanta United, before switching to Bielefeld in the winter transfer window in January. He was given his Bundesliga debut in the 1-1 draw with Borussia Mönchengladbach on Matchday 21 and made his first start on Matchday 26.

A week after scoring an own goal in a 2-1 defeat in Bochum, Bello watched from the bench as relegated Arminia drew 1-1 with Leipzig.

Justin Che

After a spell on loan with the Bayern U19 side in early 2021, Che began this season back at his parent club Dallas, but joined Richards at Hoffenheim on loan in January 2022 on a deal set to run to June 2023.
