Reyna became a key figure in Dortmund’s team last season, and the American teenager reaffirmed his growing influence in the side by taking the No.7 jersey from Jadon Sancho this summer. He's started all four of Dortmund's competitive fixtures so far, becoming the youngest player in history to reach 50 Bundesliga appearances on Matchday 3, marking the occassion with his second goal of the campaign. Reyna was again in the starting XI and doubled his goal tally for the season when he opened the scoring early in the second half as Dortmund overcame Hoffenheim 3-2.

Having been reunited with compatriot Jesse Marsch, Adams has immediately moved to the front of the queue at the base of the new Leipzig coach's midfield. The New York state native started all four of Leipzig's league and cup games to kick-off 2021/22, with Amadou Haidara and Kevin Kampl sharing duties alongside the USA international. He has been in and out of the side since, but played the full 90 minutes in midfield as Leipzig ground down Bochum to pick up a 3-0 win on Matchday 7.

Brooks - who was in the league’s top three for aerial duels won (134) in 2020/21 - featured in 31 of Wolfsburg's 34 Bundesliga matches last season, forming a formidable defensive partnership with Maxence Lacroix. And he's picked up exactly where he left off in 2021/22, with Wolfsburg rubbing shoulders at the top of the table.

Last matchday

Brooks played the entirety of the Wolves' 2-0 loss at the hands of Union Berlin in the German capital on Matchday 8, which was Wolfsburg's third league defeat on the spin.

After a highly productive loan spell with Hoffenheim at the back end of last season, Richards returned to the Allianz Arena this summer hoping to force his way into Julian Nagelsmann's first team reckoning. But after just two minutes of Bundesliga football across the opening three weeks of the season, Richards made the move back to TSG with the promise of greater playing time.

Days after representing the USA in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Costa Rica, Richards was called on as a first-half replacement for the injured Pavel Kaderabek. The Bayern loanee won 62 percent of his challenges in a 5-0 rout of Cologne.

Following his move to Gladbach from New York City FC in January 2021, Scally got accustomed to life in Germany by featuring in his new team's reserves. It now looks as if the teenager is well and truly settled and, on the back of a fine pre-season with the first team, he has forced his way into the Gladbach defence, starting and finishing every game up to and including Matchday 7.

Last matchday

Scally made his eighth straight competitive start, and seventh in the Bundesliga, in Gladbach's 3-1 win over Wolfsburg. It was a momentous occasion for the teenager, who scored his first goal in Germany in stoppage time to put the seal on the victory.

Age: 26
Bundesliga games this season: 6

2021/22 so far

After six years away, Green is back in the German top-flight and hoping to make his stay a more permanent one this time around. He was on the scoresheet in Fürth's defeat on penalties in the first round of the cup, and was named in the Greuther starting XI for each of their opening four league games of the season. He also started against former employers Bayern Munich but has increasingly found himself among the substitutes.

Last matchday

Green came off the bench for the final 23 minutes of Matchday 8's 1-0 defeat to fellow strugglers Bochum. That loss leaves Green without a goal in his last 11 top-flight appearances and Fürth still searching for their first win of the season.
