Full-time: Bochum 1-4 Leipzig

An incredible four-minute spell after half-time for Leipzig saw the visitors stun ten-man hosts Bochum at the Ruhrstadion. Bochum had led through Maximilian Wittek's early free kick but the Leipzig fightback began with Dani Olmo's super strike on the half hour. A triple change from coach Marco Rose then had a stunning effect, with a Loïs Openda strike, an Ivan Ordets own goal and Yussuf Poulsen's tap in keeping the Saxony-based side in the hunt for the Champions League spots. Bochum's misery was complete when Moritz Kwarteng was shown a straight red card.

Bochum down to ten

It goes from bad to worse for Bochum. Moritz-Broni Kwarteng sees Openda steal away with the ball and subsequently hacks down the Belgian. Straight red.

Leipzig running away with it

It's another Leipzig goal and this time it's Poulsen who has the simplest of tasks of slotting home Xavi's assist from close range. The visitors are home free.

Leipzig lead

Leipzig are in front and it's Loïs Openda - racing onto Amadou Haidara's slick through pass - who provides the chipped finish. Goalkeeper Andreas Luthe is rightly furious with himself as he got enough of a hand on the ball to comfortably keep the shot out.

Half-time: Bochum 1-1 Leipzig

Honours even at the break following an intriguing first half at the Ruhrstadion. Maximilian Wittek opened the scoring for the hosts with a speculative free kick that Péter Gulácsi could only scoop into the net. Leipzig stuck to their task and equalised via Dani Olmo's delicious strike from distance.

Leipzig level

Dani Olmo finds space on the edge of the area, just to the left of the D, and lets fly with a superb, curling shot that floats in at the top right corner. Fantastic goal.

Leipzig denied

Leipzig think they have pulled level after Benjamin Šeško played Xavi in on the left and the Dutch attacker finished at the near post. After a VAR check, however, the goal is ruled out for offside.

Bochum lead !

After surviving an early scare thanks to Luthe's masterclass at one end, the hosts take the lead following a Péter Gulácsi howler at the other. Wittek's free kick looks straightforward for the Leipzig custodian but the Hungary international scoops it into the net to the delight of the home fans.
