TOUSART FROM HALFWAY!

Great hit from the Frenchman, who spots Riemann off his line from fully 50 yards. The Bochum No.1 tries to control with his feet - it slips away from him, but he recovers to spare his blushes.

FRESH LEGS

Bella Kotchap pulled up lame as Maolida powered towards Riemann's goal. He makes way, along with Stafylidis and Holtmann, with Decarli, Bockhorn and Antwi-Adjei the completing the treble change. Big call from Thomas Reis...

MAOLIDAAAAA!

Hertha score again when they've been very much on the back-foot. Maolida collects possession on the right-hand side, drives inside and fires across Riemann left-footed from 18 yards. Dream Bundesliga debut for the Frenchman - Bochum have a mountain to climb.

BOATENG ON

Kevin-Prince Boateng brings his wealth of experience to the table in the closing stages. It's his fourth competitive appearance of the season since returning to his boyhood club in the summer.

HERTHA CLINICAL

No questioning Hertha's efficiency in front of goal so far today. Bochum - as is so often the case with promoted sides - have room for improvement in the shooting stakes.

ZOLLER PULLS ONE BACK!

Bochum are back in it! Holtmann goes on one of those mazy runs that earned him the August Goal of the Month award, taking out Boyata and Zeefuik on his way to goal. His shot is saved by Schwolow, but Zoller's on hand to turn in the rebound.

STEALTHY SOARES

Good spell for Bochum as Danilo Soares runs in off the flank, travelling a good 30 yards unchecked. The Brazilian's attempted through-pass is too close to Schwolow, though.

CHANCE!

Mittelstädt concedes a free-kick for a foul on Zoller. Stafylidis whips it round the wall, but Schwolow gets down well to his left to beat it away.

Bochum won't have too many complaints about their overall performance, but it's Hertha with the half-time lead through Suat Serdar's quick-fire brace. Football can be cruel...

SERDAR AT THE DOUBLE!

Hertha extend their lead in Bochum! Dennis Jastrzembski's long throw causes problems in the Bochum box. Belfodil wins his header, despite being surrounded by three opposition defenders, and Serdar slams past Riemann at his near-post. Smash-and-grab stuff from the Old Lady!

HERTHA LEAD!!!

Well, well - talk against a goal against the run of play! Niklas Stark forces the error from Anthony Losilla in midfield. HEART VS. CONFIDENCE

Bochum are pressing the opposition hard, and winning the majority of the second balls. Hertha, by contrast, are sitting off and severely lacking in confidence.

KLÜNTER CROCKED

The Hertha wing-back has fallen twice on his shoulder, and can't continue. Zeefuik, who started the 5-0 loss to Bayern, enters the fray.

ZOLLER!

The big Bochum striker rises to meet Rexhbecaj's cross, but can't direct his effort on target. The flanks are without doubt Bochum's best chance of a goal.

WHO IS JASTRZEMBSKI?

Dennis Jastrzembski gets forward for Hertha, the 21-year-old winning a corner. Riemann punches clear, but that's exactly what Dardai will want to see from his wild card inclusion, who "impressed with his commitment in training during the week." Jastrzembski is making his 12th Bundesliga appearance, having spent the previous campaign on loan in Germany's third tier with Waldhof Mannheim.

BRIGHT BOCHUM

Bochum have made a positive start on home turf. They've won a couple of set-pieces in promising areas, and Anthony Losilla's just forced the first save out of Alexander Schwolow from a cross. Two of the team's three goals this term have come from out wide...

WATCH: GOAL OF THE MONTH

Bochum's Gerrit Holtmann has won the first Goal of the Month for the 2021/22 season after his ridiculous solo effort against former side Mainz on Matchday 2.

THE SEASON SO FAR

Bochum have made an encouraging start to their first season back in the Bundesliga for 11 years. A man down for the majority of the contest aganst Wolfsburg on Matchday 1, they were unfortunate to slip to a 1-0 loss. The Ruhr side then beat Mainz 2-1, before suffering a narrow 2-1 defeat to Cologne. Hertha also lost to Cologne (3-1) and Wolfsburg (2-1), before being thumped 5-0 by defending champions Bayern.

MORE ON THOSE TEAMS

Bochum coach Thomas Reis shuffles his pack following the 2-1 loss to Cologne. Hoffenheim loanee Kostas Stafylidis is preferred to Herbert Bockhorn at right-back, while there are starts for Wolfsburg- and Hertha-owned midfielders Elvis Rexhbecaj and Eduard Löwen. Pal Dardai also makes changes as he looks to arrest Hertha's winless start to 2021/22. Jordan Torunarigha, Lukas Klünter, Vladimir Darida, Dennis Jastrzembski, Marco Richter and Ishak Belfodil all come in. Kevin-Prince Boateng is only fit enough for the bench.
