All teams seventh and higher have already ensured they will avoid relegation.

Karlsruhe could secure their safety this weekend if they beat Hannover, or if they draw while Eintracht Braunschweig and Fortuna Düsseldorf both lose, or if they draw and Braunschweig lose while both Düsseldorf and Greuther Fürth fail to win.

Nuremberg could assure themselves of second-tier status this weekend if they beat Magdeburg while Braunschweig and Düsseldorf both lose, or if they win and Braunschweig lose while both Düsseldorf and Fürth fail to win.

No other teams can mathematically avoid relegation this weekend.
