Kaiserslautern bounced back from their heavy defeat to leaders Hertha last weekend with a hard-fought victory away to Osnabrück. After a goalless opening 45 minutes at the Stadion an der Bremer Brücke, Thierry Tazemeta beat goalkeeper Jonas Krumrey from close range at the second attempt to put the Red Devils ahead 10 minutes into the second half. Osnabrück threw caution to the wind as the second half wore on, but the visitors held on to keep themselves firmly in the promotion picture.

Sekine turned Arne Sicker’s delivery into his own net to give the visitors an early lead, but Arminia missed a golden opportunity to double their advantage when Joel Grodowski’s second-half penalty was kept out by Timon Weiner. Sekine atoned for his own goal when he nodded home Guillermo Balzi’s cross 15 minutes later, only for Isaiah Young to fire home the winner with 10 minutes remaining.

Oluwaseun Victor Adewumi then gave Hertha the lead shortly before the break with a sweeping finish, before Deyovaisio Zeefuik added a second on the stroke of half-time. Ten minutes later, Ben Bobzien doubled his tally for the season before turning provider for Vincent Vermeij in the second half to inflict a third straight away defeat on ten-man Fürth, as Dresden secured back-to-back wins at the Rudolf-Harbig-Stadion.

Eintracht Braunschweig 0-0 Energie Cottbus

Eintracht Braunschweig extended their unbeaten run at home to four games after being held to a goalless stalemate against Energie Cottbus. In a game of few chances, Cottbus’ Christian Kinsombi saw his first half effort cannon back off the post, but clear-cut openings remained few and far between after the interval, as the visitors’ winless streak stretched to six games.

The Ruhr club’s early lead lasted only two minutes after Kevin Wiethaup equalised before Tim Civeja’s sumptuous strike from the halfway line shortly after the interval put the visitors ahead.
