The hosts double their lead!! First, Thórdarson fails to convert from close range in the left-centre of the box, with his effort towards the bottom right corner saved by Horn, but the ball rebounds to the right where Ouedenne is unmarked. The forward keeps his composure and cleverly lays the ball centrally to the edge of the penalty area for Hartel, the new signing from MLS, who controls it once and then coolly finds the bottom corner of the net.

Six months without a home win
Hannover could, in the best case, leapfrog Bochum in the table with a win today, but to do so they would need to end their home curse. Hannover have not won a home match in exactly half a year! On March 20, they secured a 1-0 derby victory against Braunschweig, and since then the side from the banks of the Leine have managed five draws and one defeat in six home matches.
