Cause for optimism?

That 2-0 win was only Dresden’s second-ever victory over Nuremberg, who have won 10 of the teams’ previous 18 encounters. Both Dynamo’s wins, though, have come on their travels.

Dresden moved out of the Bundesliga 2 relegation zone with a hard-earned victory on Matchday 29 of the 2025/26 campaign. Dynamo ended the season strongly, finishing just three places and five points behind eighth-placed Nuremberg in the standings.
