Full-time Darmstadt 0-4 Hamburg
Hamburg take another big step towards promotion to the Bundesliga! Unpredictable thanks in no small part to their ruthless efficiency form corners - which yielded two goals - the visitors ran away with it, Selke and Glatzel sealing the deal in the closing stages. Darmstadt only posed an offensive threat in the early phase, but the Lilies never gave up despite falling behind.

Florian Kohfeldt's thoughts on facing Hamburg
"It was match point for us in Münster last week and we managed to finally settle the relegation issue. Now we're incredibly excited about a great home atmosphere at the Bölle. It's a very special match and we want to perform accordingly. The team is really looking forward to this match as well."
Merlin Polzin's thoughts on facing Darmstadt
"It is crucial that we have absolute clarity in our game. Now it's not just about being a good team, but about winning one more tackle, making one more sprint. We absolutely want to win the match on Saturday."
Diamond instead of lily on the chest
Before his move to Hamburg in 2019, Daniel Heuer Fernandes played three years for Darmstadt (seven Bundesliga and 62 Bundesliga 2 matches for the Lilies).
Hamburg's Favourite Stadium
The Lilies celebrated their five competitive victories against the Red Shorts all away from home, having never won at home against Hamburg. The visitors side have picked up points in each of their ten away matches at Böllenfalltor (six wins, four draws), with the 5-0 in February 2022 being Hamburg's highest away win in the Bundesliga 2, and Darmstadt's heaviest home defeat in the league.
The good old days
The last home victory in this fixture was almost 44 years ago! In November 1981, Hamburg celebrated a 6-1 success in the Bundesliga, with Horst Hrubesch and Felix Magath scoring. At the end of that 1981/82 season, the Hamburg side became German champions under Ernst Happel.
Away win?
In the last 17 competitive matches between the two clubs, the home team has never won!
