“Our clear goal is to go there and win the match, of course to get Wolfsburg involved, it’s clear what that means. But to have the awareness, the confidence, to be bold and say, yes, we can win in Wolfsburg, that’s really important to me.”

“We must be more dangerous in front of goal and cleverer in certain respects. It was important not only to address this, but also to work on it. I don’t think we should increase the pressure on us even more. Everybody knows what it’ll come down to in the match, it’s a very important home match. Our last two home matches ended in clear-cut defeats, so I think our task is clear, full focus on winning the match this weekend.”

As mentioned earlier, Ralph Hasenhüttl was brought in to take over from departing Wolfsburg boss Niko Kovač several weeks ago, but there is also a new man in the Bochum hotseat, with the club's U19 coach Heiko Butscher in temporary charge following Thomas Letsch's dismissal.
