Guirassy's header is deemed to have struck a Wolfsburg defender on its way behind and Dortmund have yet another corner. Schlotterbeck has two attempts blocked as the Wolves struggle to clear the danger, but the hosts eventually manage to hoof the ball out of harm's way.

Dortmund want a second before half-time. Bellingham bursts forward down the right and wins another corner off Arnold. Svensson's looping cross finds Guirassy at the back post, but the striker's header flies into the side-netting.

Svensson manages to get on the end of a deep ball towards the back post. His backward header rolls all the way to Ryerson, who blazes the ball over Grabara's crossbar.

At the other end, Bürger does well to block Beier's effort from just inside the penalty area. Eriksen's attempted headed clearance then falls to Nmecha, who scuffs his shot well wide of the far post.

Grabara is forced into action for the first time as Süle takes aim from distance and sends a powerful low drive towards the bottom corner, but the Wolfsburg keeper gets down quickly to make the save.

The visitors keep coming forward and Schlotterbeck finds Ryerson with a raking, diagonal pass, but the Norwegian fails to control the ball and it rolls behind for a Wolfsburg goal-kick.

Beier slips in the Guinean striker, who takes a touch before letting fly from a tight angle inside the Wolfsburg penalty area. Luckily for the Wolves, Vavro is alert to the danger and deflects the ball behind for a corner, which comes to nothing.

Svensson and Nmecha link up well down the left-hand side. The latter eventually swings in a deep cross towards the back post but nobody in a Dortmund shirt can get a touch on the delivery.

Fischer concedes an early free-kick after catching Svensson with a late challenge. The Dortmund man takes a moment or two to get back to his feet but is able to carry on.
