Bayern cruised to a comprehensive victory at the Allianz Arena, but the scoreline was a little harsh on Hoffenheim, who competed admirably, even after losing Akpoguma to a red card after just 17 minutes. Another Kane spot-kick and a composed Díaz finish gave Bayern a 3-1 lead at the break, but even then Hoffenheim were still looking dangerous on the break. The wind finally went out of their sails in the second half, however, when the Colombian grabbed two more goals to complete a hat-trick, getting Bayern back to winning ways and ending Hoffenheim's eye-catching run.

Bayern striker Harry Kane was back on the training pitch at Säbener Straße on Friday afternoon. The England frontman had missed training on Tuesday and Wednesday due to illness but was involved in parts of Friday's session as Vincent Kompany's side fine-tuned their preparations for Sunday's clash with Hoffenheim.
