What a result for St. Pauli. With that win - their first since Matchday 3 - the Hamburg-based outfit leapfrog Heidenheim in the table despite playing the entire second half with just 10 men. Kaars doubled his side's lead soon after the restart, rounding off a clinical counter-attack, before Pieringer halved the deficit 11 minutes later. Heidenheim kept pushing, but they couldn't find quite break down Pauli's well organised defence again.

Frank Schmidt has already revealed that striker Budu Zivzivadze faces a late fitness test to be included for this one. Sirlord Conteh is once again available, although it is not clear how much he will play, while a late decision will be made over Mikkel Kaufmann. Frank Feller and Leart Paqarada, however, are out.

Blessin will be without David Nemeth and Simon Spari and Andréas Hountondji, but Hauke Wahl should be fit to start in defence after coming off at half-time against Cologne.

"It's a clash of two bottom-of-the-table teams. We have to be present from the start and give it our all. St. Pauli had a very good start, similar to ours last year. And now they're going through a very difficult period. We're aware that Pauli are aiming to beat us at home, but we're going to have to change that. We need to bring that same attitude, stability, and team spirit to the pitch at the Millerntor on Saturday. Then we'll have every chance of getting three points."

Pauli lacking punch

St. Pauli have failed to score in six of their 13 matches so far this season (only Mainz have fared worse than that) and have lost all of their past three home matches without scoring.

Dozen to dodge

As welcome as that point against Cologne was, Pauli are currently winless in 10 Bundesliga matches, with 12 the unwanted single-season club record to avoid. That happened in 2010/11, a campaign that ended in relegation to the second tier.

Six of the 12 goals Heidenheim have scored this season have come from substitutes - including Stefan Schimmer's winner against Freiburg last weekend.
