SECOND HALF UNDER WAY

Union get the ball rolling for the second 45 minutes. No changes on either side at the break.
90'

WHAT A PERFORMANCE!

Dortmund's attack simply looks unstoppable and that 's now 15 goals in three games in 2020 for BVB. Favre's side were better all over the pitch today, with Brandt in particular impressing in midfield, while Sancho and Haaland both made history for their goalscoring exploits. Leipzig and Bayern beware!
84'

ELITE COMPANY FOR DORTMUND

Favre's men have now scored at least five goals in a game for a third successive time, joining Bayern (March 2019), Kaiserslautern (February / March 1984) and Hannover 96 (September / October 1965) as the only clubs ever to do so.
78'

THIRD APPEARANCE FOR REYNA

Haaland is taken off - to thunderous applause from the home crowd, who chant his name - and on comes 17-year-old US youth international Gio Reyna for his third Bundesliga outing as a substitute.
77'

HAALAND UNSTOPPABLE!

That's now seven in three games for Haaland - the first player in history to achieve such a feat. The move starts in Dortmund's own penalty area but they break forward quickly and it ends with Sancho playing the ball to Brandt, who's back-heel falls perfectly for Haaland, who drills a low shot under Gikiwiecz.

RYERSON ON FOR TRIMMEL

There's another Norwegian on the pitch alongside Haaland now, as Ryerson comes into Union's midfield for Trimmel.
74'

FULL HOUSE FOR REUS

The Dortmund attacker has now scored against every team currently in the Bundesliga. Leverkusen's Kevin Volland is the only other player to have done so.
71'

ATTACKING CHANGE FOR BVB

Captain Reus goes off - presumably with a view to giving him a rest ahead of the DFB Cup last 16 in midweek - and on comes Thorgan Hazard.
70'

WITSEL GETS ON THE SCORESHEET!

Haaland feeds Sancho down the left and the winger sprints into the box before lifting his head and playing a brilliant pass behind two defenders and into the path of Witself, who slams home from close range.

REUS MAKES IT THREE

The Dortmund captain steps up to the spot and sends a powerful shot to Gikiewicz's right. The goalkeeper dives the right way and almost gets a hand to it, but it's too strong for him to keep out.
67'

PENALTY TO DORTMUND!

Haaland is played into the box and Gikiewicz comes off his line to close him down. His foot appears to bring the striker down and a penalty is given. After a check by VAR, the spot-kick is confirmed.

HAKIMI OFF, ZAGADOU ON

Dortmund coach Lucien Favre switches things up a bit, bringing on centre-back Zagadou after he recovered from injury. Piszczek moves into Hakimi's place on the right of midfield.
64'

FIFTH YELLOW FOR FRIEDRICH

It's a costly booking for the Union defender, who will now miss next week's crunch game against Werder Bremen.
59'

ATTACKING CHANGE FOR UNION

Malli goes off after a quiet game, and on comes Becker in his stead. He'll give the visitors something different; whereas Malli is more of a schemer, Becker will run at defenders and look to use his pace in the final third.
58'

PISZCZEK FRUSTRATED

Brandt delivers a corner from the right and Piszczek is first to it. He gets a good head on the ball but it's blocked on its way to goal - the defender shows his frustration as that looked to be going in.
56'

WIDE FROM BÜLTER!

This is a nice move from Union, who break forward quickly. The ball is played wide on the right to Bülter, who shapes to shoot with his right foot but cuts inside Akanji onto his left and gets a shot away. It's low and towards the near post and has Bürki scuttling across his line, but rolls just wide of the target.
55'

UNION IMPROVING

The visitors have nothing to lose now so are playing with greater freedom this half. Trimmel and Andrich both test Bürki with shots from range; the goalkeeper is more than equal to them but it's more positive from Union now.
48'

WIDE FROM SANCHO!

He holds his head in his hands as he knows that was a glorious chance. Gikiewicz again miscues a pass from the back and again plays it straight to Sancho's feet. The goalkeeper rushes out to narrow the angle, and Sancho's clipped shot past him goes just wide.

DESERVED LEAD FOR DORTMUND

Union looked good early on and tried to rattle their hosts with early pressing and aggressive tackles, but Sancho's goal shattered their resistance and when Haaland doubled Dortmund's lead it took a while for the visitors to regroup. BVB have been on top for most of the game and thoroughly deserve to be in front at the break.

WONDERFUL COUNTER FROM DORTMUND

Bürki catches a Union corner and rolls it to Sancho. He bursts forward and eventually plays it to Hakimi, who gets to the left-hand byline before crossing into the middle, looking for Haaland. Gikiewicz just gets there first though.
41'

CHANCE FOR SCHLOTTERBECK!

A really lovely free-kick from Trimmel there, floating a ball into the box and dropping it just over the head of Akanji. Union centre-back Schlotterbeck is unmarked, around 10 yards out, but he blazes his first-time shot well over the bar. That's Union's best opportunity of the game so far.
40'

ALL DORTMUND

BVB have had 66 per cent of possession and seven shots on goal to Union's two - both of which were fairly harmless. They're good value for their lead so far.
36'

DORTMUND MUST SCORE... BUT NO!

Sancho and Reus seemingly say "after you" to each other, both happy for the other to shoot. The duo are in space on the left, but neither ends up shooting; Reus crosses into the middle looking for Haaland, but the pass is a touch behind him and Union scramble to clear.
32'

TRIMMEL BLOCKS WITSEL

Brandt - who has been running the show in midfield so far - this time finds Witsel on the edge of the Union box. He does a stepover to fashion a yard of space and gets a left-footed shot away, but Trimmel's last-gasp lunge does enough to block it for a corner. Dortmund want it today, they've been brilliant.
30'

SANCHO GOES FOR GOAL

Brandt drives forward again, leading another counter. He slides the ball into Sancho's path, but his left-footed effort is saved by Gikiewicz.
26'

RECORD IN SIGHT FOR HAALAND

The 19-year-old joins Paco Alcacer (2018) and former Hamburg forward Gert Dörfel (1963) as only the third player to have scored six times in his first three Bundesliga games. Nobody has ever hit seven in their first three - and we still have over an hour to play!
24'

DORTMUND WITH THE WIND IN THEIR SAILS

The momentum is all with BVB right now after those two quick-fire goals, and they're hungry for more. Union look a bit out of sorts as they try to settle after going behind.
23'

LUCKY GIKIEWICZ

That is a huge let-off for the Union keeper, who miscues a pass out from the back, playing it straight to the feet of Sancho. He tries to get a shot away as quickly as possible, but is quikcly crowded out by two defenders.
21'

GUERREIRO FIRES OVER

Haaland wins possession for Dortmund on the left and he instantly plays it to Guerreiro, who finds himself in acres of space. He drives forward to the edge of the box and gets a shot off, but it's deflected over for a corner.
18'

HAALAND GETS HIS GOAL!

He had to really, didn't he? That's now six Bundesliga goals in three games for the Norwegian striker. Union go to sleep somewhat after clearing a corner, but Dortmund recycle possession with Brandt down the right. He swings a cross into the middle and nobody's marking Haaland, who's left with a simple tap-in from close range!

FREE-KICK FOR DORTMUND...

Brandt instigates a counter-attack and feeds the ball to Hakimi, who's sprinting down the right. Guerreiro curls the set-piece towards the top corner but Gikiewicz dives to his left to make a briliant save.
14'

RECORD FOR SANCHO

That goal means the 19-year-old is the first teenager in Bundesliga history to reach 25 league goals. He has 12 this term, and 11 assists, and has contributed directly to a goal in each of his last 9 matches.
13'

SANCHO WITH THE BREAKTHROUGH!

There's just no stopping the England international right now. He's wide on the left, cuts inside into the box onto his right foot and shoots at goal. It takes a deflection of Schlotterbeck's foot and loops past Gikiewicz and into the net.

HAKIMI ALMOST IN

Brandt spies the run of the Morocco international down the right and tries to thread a ball into his path inside the penalty area. If it goes through then Hakimi will have a clear shot at goal, but Trimmel is alive to the danger and makes a timely interception.
7'

UNION NOT INTIMIDATED

The visitors are looking increasingly confident and their physical approach is not allowing Dortmund to make any significant headway in attack. Union have won 60 per cent of all challenges and are by no means overawed here.
3'

CHANCE FOR BÜLTER!

Dortmund may be in control but the first sight of goal today goes to Union. Trimmel curls an in-swinging cross from the left towards the back post that Bülter almost gets a toe on. He was only a couple of yards out, but the ball ends up just squeezing wide of the post. A warning shot for BVB there.
3'

DORTMUND ON TOP

The hosts are playing keep-ball here, stroking it around amongst themselves in midfield and defence. Union look very compact though and are closing the Dortmund players down very quickly.

LINING UP

The teams are out on the pitch now and going through the pre-match formalities. We'll be under way very shortly!

CHANCE FOR MALLI

Yunus Malli starts in the Bundesliga for the first time in almost exactly a year, having last done so for Wolfsburg in a 1-0 win over Hertha Berlin on 2 February 2019. The skillful playmaker struggled to really establish himself with the Wolves, so will be eager to rediscover his form while on loan in Berlin during the second half of this season.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

This is just the fourth meeting between the teams. Union pulled off a shock 3-1 home win in the reverse fixure back in August, while Dortmund won both the DFB Cup encounters between the teams (in 2016 and 2018), although they needed extra-time to do so on both occasions. A BVB victory here then is by no means a foregone conclusion.

SANCHO CLOSE TO RECORD

Jadon Sancho could become the first teenager in history to score 25 Bundesliga goals. He is one of only three U20s to reach 24 goals, but doesn't turn 20 until March. Could he bring up that landmark today?

CAUTION THE KEY

While Dortmund's attack has been firing on all cylinders, they would be well advised to keep Union at a safe distance from their goal, and not to commit fouls around the penalty area, because  Union have scored a league-high 43 per cent of their goals so far this season (10 of 23) from set-pieces. Cue desperate Dortmund scrambling to avoid any corners...

GOALS GUARANTEED?

Not just a first start for Haaland suggests there will be goals at the Signal Iduna Park today. Dortmund have scored 10 goals in their first two Rückrunde matches. Only Borussia Mönchengladbach' s class of 1966/67 have kicked off the second half of a season with more, courtesy of an 11-0 drubbing over Schalke.
