Conclusion
And now it's over, what a match: FCK applied pressure for long periods, had the better chances and hit the crossbar multiple times – but Nürnberg turned the game on its head with a dream goal from Emreli and suddenly led 2-0. Ritter pulled one back from the penalty spot before Lautern continued to push for the equaliser, but to no avail. So Nuremberg take the points and keep in touch with the teams above, while FCK miss a big opportunity in the promotion race after their competitors had dropped points this matchday.

Acheeee!
Ritter chips the ball perfectly into the penalty area to Ache, who is alone in front of Reichert... and he blasts it over the bar!

Backbone
The armband hasn't weighed down his arms: Reichert is saving everything dangerous today – and otherwise the crossbar has helped. He's overperforming his xSaves by a value of 1.4.

Substitutions on both sides
Emreli is given a break, having crowned his performance with that incredible goal for the 2-0 lead earlier.

Crossbar! Again!
And it's the crossbar again, this time it's Bauer who can't get his header into the net after a free kick.
82'
Yokota nimble
Yokota chases down a clearance all by himself against three Nürnberg defenders and keeps possession of the ball. As a result, FCK manage to get a shot away, but it goes well over the crossbar.
81'
Nuremberg once more
Flick stands unmarked at a free kick from the left, but can't control the ball properly.
81'
Only one direction
Shots on goal in the second half: 16-1. However, both teams have scored once each after the break.

Nine shots on goal
Ritter's thunderbolt against the crossbar was his ninth shot in this match. He needs just one more to equal the season record, as Braunschweig's Rayan Philippe had ten attempts in one match.

Wow! Ritter with another thunderbolt from distance, this time not from a free kick, but in open play – and the crossbar is shaking again! What on earth is going on here?!
75'
Lautern still on the front foot
The Betze is on fire! There's real magic in this match now, anything can happen today! FCK whip in a corner from the left and Alidou fires the ball over the bar in the aftermath.

Ritter hits the crossbar!
What a strike, this free kick - and again no goal, just the woodwork!
68'
Goooal, it's 2-0 for the visitors!
It just can't be! Nuremberg have been hanging on and then suddenly they score to make it 2-0! An irresistible move from Emreli, who dances past two men and then smashes the ball with his left foot into the far right corner.

Misunderstanding
It's getting crazy now, Lautern are putting on so much pressure, but nothing's going in! Ache and Alidou have a misunderstanding in the middle, right next to them are Ritter and Yokota, also well-positioned for a shot. But somehow no one can get to the ball to simply bundle it over the line!
64'
Nuremberg holding on
The visitors' last shot on goal was in the 19th minute, since then it's been twelve to nil in attempts for FCK.
62'
Unbelievable!
A cross from the left is intended for Yokota, who doesn't connect properly with the ball, causing it to land at Ritter's feet. He has another chance here, but also fails to strike the ball cleanly. It rolls straight into Reichert's arms.

Good football

54'
Fifth Yellow

53'
Ritter!
Another chance for Ritter, but his powerful shot is too inaccurate.
52'
Reichert at the second attempt!
Ache unleashes a shot from distance, but Reichert manages to smother it at the second attempt. That could have been dangerous as Kaiserslautern had two men lurking for the rebound.
51'
Class from Ritter!
After a throw-in, Ritter has the ball out wide and instead of playing it on, he suddenly cuts inside. With full power, he fires the ball at goal from a tight angle, Reichert manages to parry it out for a corner. The corner comes to nothing...
49'
Dangerous!
The ball is delivered into the box well but Reichert is the quickest in the scramble for the ball and gets hold of it.

Half-time at the Betze
Wow, a wild final phase comes to an end. At first, it felt as if the Franconians had taken the wind out of FCK's sails with their goal after just under a quarter of an hour, after which the hosts struggled to find a suitable response. Shortly before the half-time whistle, the Red Devils regained their courage and created some dangerous chances, with both Ritter and Ache having opportunities to equalise.

Next inaccuracy
Kaloc's ball to Redondo is far too high and goes out for a throw-in.
40'
Well won
Lautern fight their way forward, winning a ball on the touchline, resulting in a throw-in and applause from the crowd.
38'
Redondo with the cross!
A sharp ball now from the winger. Ache rises high in the middle, but he misses by a few centimetres.
36'
Shoe gone, ball too
Redondo loses his shoe in a challenge with Janisch and demands a free kick. Upon closer inspection, however, it becomes clear that it was the striker who actually went in too aggressively on his opponent.
33'
The calm before the storm?
The match has calmed down a bit, Lautern are on the ball and trying to gain control. However, their passing game ends before the final third, which is currently Nuremberg territory.

11'
Sirch steps up to take the corner
He whips the ball in from the right, it's cleared to the edge of the box and falls to Redondo, who is brought down roughly by Emreli. He makes contact with a lot of the player, but also gets a lot of the ball - play continues.
10'
Lautern again
Ache almost manages to control a long, clearing ball from Krahl, but his first touch is a bit too sloppy. He would have been through on goal against Reichert.
9'
Set Piece chance
Janisch clears for a Red Devils corner.
6'
Ache tests Reichert
The newly appointed captain immediately has to prove his resilience, but despite the robust physical challenge from Ache, he gets to the ball first after a cross from the left sailed into the six-yard box.
4'
Another one down
Then Emreli goes down after a challenge with Kaloc, but there's no whistle. A heated start - but what else would you expect in this stadium, on this evening, in a season where so much is possible for FCK!

Captain Reichert
An honour for goalkeeper Jan Reichert: He gets to lead Nuremberg onto the pitch for the first time today. In the absence of the still injured Robin Knoche, Julian Justvan was captain recently, but today it's Reichert's turn.
Emreli to lead the line
Top scorer Stefanos Tzimas is still missing, and as mentioned, Janis Antiste is not available either. Mahir Emreli therefore starts in attack. The Azerbaijani is in the starting eleven for the first time since January.
Nuremberg team news
Nuremberg must do without Janis Antiste (suspended for a red card) and Caspar Jander (suspended for yellow card acquisition) today. However, the previously suspended Tim Drexler and Jens Castrop are back in the squad. Castrop replaces Jander, Drexler comes into the team for Nick Seidel.
Kaloc the fourth change
There are four new players in the Lautern starting eleven, including Kaloc. The Czech player was on the bench for the last two matches, but starts today in place of Florian Kleinhansl. Kenny Prince Redondo is likely to move to the left flank.
Former Nuremberg player Gyamerah starts
Jan Gyamerah was only a substitute in the last two matches after returning from injury, but this time he displaces Jean Zimmer in the starting XI. Gyamerah played for Nuremberg two years ago, making 53 Bundesliga 2 appearances and scoring three goals.
Hanslik returns
Daniel Hanslik has served his yellow card suspension and returns to the team in place of Daisuke Yokota.
Lautern team news
First-choice goalkeeper Julian Krahl, who has been so strong this season, makes his comeback less than a month after suffering a medial collateral ligament tear on 15th March in Paderborn, having missed only two matches.
