The ball wobbles in the air but is quite central and therefore not unsaveable. Johansson gets a touch, but the ball still goes into the net.

After a quiet start to the game, the match picked up pace after about 15 minutes. Philippe had several chances to put Eintracht in the lead, but the visitors also had a few, albeit somewhat less dangerous, attempts on goal. In the final minutes, there were many minor fouls, which disrupted the flow of the game. Given the high tempo at times, the second half remains full of promise!

There's one change for Elversberg, with Luca Schnellbacher starting for the first time in six weeks (a 1-0 defeat in Regensburg on 2 November) in place of Muhammed Damar, who has played well recently and is named on the bench for the first time in the league this season.

The final straw
On 20 October 2023, Paul Stock scored his first goal in the 2. Bundesliga against Braunschweig - afterwards, the visitors' manager Jens Härtel had to leave, and shortly after, Daniel Scherning took over.
Record defeat
Elversberg have never lost by more than a five-goal margin away from home in the Bundesliga 2, with their only 5-0 defeat on the road having come in Braunschweig on 30 March 2024.
A home win each
Both clubs met for the first time in competitive matches last season, with each side winning comfortably at home (3-0 to Elversberg and 5-0 to Braunschweig).
