Saibari leads Morocco fightback

Achraf Hakimi and Ismael Saibari (c.) both scored to cancel out Haiti twice taking the lead in Atlanta through an own goal and Wilson Isidor's top-corner rocket. Hakimi's goal for 1-1 came off a saved Bilal El Khannouss shot, before Saibari swept in his third of the tournament late in the first half. Morocco then struck late in the second period with Soufiane Rahimi and Gessime Yassine to deny Haiti a first-ever World Cup point and send the North Africans into the last 32 as Group C runners-up, level on points with Brazil.

Watch: The best of El Khannouss

With four goals and five assists in 25 Bundesliga outings in 2025/26, the Moroccan star was influential in his maiden season at Stuttgart. Marvel at his skills anf attacking threat right here...

What's at stake?

With Haiti already out, the onus will be on Morocco to take the game to their opponents in search of the three points. A win would secure their place in the group's top two, and they could well finish top depending on the score from Brazil's game with Scotland. If the Brazilians win, Morocco will need to better the margin of victory by three goals to end up top of the pile, while a draw for A Seleçao would mean a win of any kind for the African nation is enough.

Last time out: Haiti

Haiti were the first team eliminated from this summer's edition of the World Cup following a 3-0 defeat against Brazil. Although only three points adrift of Scotland in third, defeat against Steve Clarke's men means they can't finish third because of the head-to-head record.
