A clinical long-range effort from St. Pauli's Connor Metcalfe sealed a sensational 2-0 win for Australia against Türkiye, in which club team-mate Jackson Irvine came on for the final few minutes. Departing Dortmund midfielder Salih Özcan was also a late substitute for Türkiye, while Ozan Kabak (Hoffenheim) and Can Uzun (Frankfurt) remained on the bench.
