The Bavarians have enjoyed a productive, goal-filled trip on the #BLWorldTour so far. Bayern kicked off proceedings with a six-goal thriller with AC Milan in Chicago.

Then local hero Julian Green plundered a stunning hattrick within 35 minutes as Bayern thrashed FC Internazionale de Milano 4-1 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Reds face UEFA Champions League holders Real Madrid CF at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, later this week, and after a media session in Times Square after their arrival on Monday, Xabi Alonso and Co. resumed their hard work on the training pitch.

Check out the best tweets from their first day in NYC.

One player not among the squad is Brazil international Douglas Costa, who is currently sidelined with a thigh injury. The 25-year-old posted the below image on Twitter with the caption, "I miss playing football!"

Both the player and his club will be hopeful Costa will be fit for the start of the new season, which Bayern will officially open with a home clash against SV Werder Bremen on 26 August.
