Watch: The top five fantasy goalkeepers:
Leipzig trio to the fore
While RB Leipzig’s unbeaten start to their first Bundesliga campaign very much feels like a team effort, the contributions of Timo Werner, Emil Forsberg and Naby Keita nevertheless deserve a special mention. They have seven, five and four goals apiece respectively, with Forsberg also influencing the season so far with seven assists, the best in the league and among the best across Europe. Keita got Matchday 12’s 4-1 win over SC Freiburg off to a flying start with a stunning long-range goal while a brace for Werner moved him level with Robert Lewandowski’s tally for the season. Can this trio remain as influential against FC Schalke 04 on Saturday?
Kolasinac thriving in midfield
Although officially billed as a defender, Sead Kolsinac has thrived in Schalke’s midfield, playing a key role in the Royal Blues’ charge up the table towards the European places. His headed goal against SV Darmstadt 98 last weekend was just the second of his career and perfectly demonstrated how much the 23-year-old is enjoying himself and influencing matches further upfield. However, the trip to Saxony to face leaders Leipzig is likely to put Kolasinac’s defensive qualities to the test too.

Auba on a roll
November was a great month for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, whose six goals edged him ahead of 1. FC Köln’s Anthony Modeste in the race for the Torjägerkanone. Borussia Dortmund’s star striker scored on every Bundesliga matchday of the month, but defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt last time saw the Black-and-Yellows slip to seventh. Saturday’s meeting with Borussia Mönchengladbach gives Auba the chance to extend his good run of form and help his side back into the upper reaches of the table.

Gnabry to spearhead Bremen revival
SV Werder Bremen’s Serge Gnabry had a decent month too, grabbing two in the Bundesliga and scoring a hat-trick on his senior international debut in Germany’s 8-0 thrashing of San Marino. The 21-year-old has five for the season, but none have come at Bremen’s own Weser Stadium and an improvement in home form is crucial to the Green-and-Whites’ survival chances. A goal for Gnabry and a win for Bremen against fellow strugglers FC Ingolstadt 04 on Saturday would be a nice marker to lay down.

Timothy Chandler has scarcely missed a kick for Frankfurt this season, most recently helping put together a six-game unbeaten run that has moved the Eagles into fourth place ahead of Matchday 13. The USMNT international has operated effectively at right-back and on the right-side of midfield, and already has more assists after 12 matches in 2016/17 than he managed over the course of his previous two campaigns in a Frankfurt shirt combined. Against an FC Augsburg outfit beset by injury, the 26-year-old might very well add to his tally.
