Bibiana Steinhaus: MD3's Woman of the Matchday
Bibiana Steinhaus hardly put a foot wrong in becoming the first female referee in Bundesliga history on Sunday in Hertha Berlin's 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen.
The Hannover-born policewoman had a firm hand on proceedings throughout, handing out just a single yellow card in the capital.
She also distinguished herself with a fantastic decision to allow an advantage to be played after a foul on the hosts' Vladimir Darida, from which Mathew Leckie opened the scoring.

Steinhaus was watched at the Olympiastadion by her partner Howard Webb, himself a former referee who took charge of the 2010 FIFA World Cup final in Johannesburg.
Hertha also offered half-price tickets to female fans as a way of celebrating the Bundesliga's commitment to equality in becoming the first major European top-flight league to appoint a female referee.
Watch: Steinhaus was relieved after making Bundesliga history!
