Sandro Wagner scored his first goal since returning to Bayern Munich as Jupp Heynckes’ side beat Al Ahli 6-0 in Doha.

Al Ahli 0-6 Bayern Munich

Goals: 0-1 Wagner (38’), 0-2 Tolisso (53’), 0-3 Robben (57’), 0-4 Coman (67’), 0-5 Dorsch (73’), 0-6 Süle (88’)

The Bundesliga leaders struggled to break down the Qatari outfit in the opening 30 minutes, but Wagner, making his first appearance for the Bavarians since rejoining the club from Hoffenheim, eventually broke the hosts’ resistance with a trademark close-range header into the bottom corner.

Corentin Tolisso, the only Bayern player not to be replaced at the interval, doubled the visitors’ lead with another header shortly after the restart, before half-time substitute Arjen Robben drilled home a peach of a volley from Arturo Vidal’s corner. Kingsley Coman grabbed Bayern’s fourth mid-way through the second half, with Niklas Dorsch and Niklas Süle adding further gloss to the scoreline late on.
