Parduzi, Therkelsen (pictured) and Alidou also come into the starting line-up in place of Tolkin, Davidsen and Bernhardsson, who has since joined Wolfsburg.

1860 Munich's DFB Cup history

1860 have actually won this competition twice, first in the 1941/42 season and then in 1963/64. In recent years they've gone as far as the round of 16, for example in 2021/22 when they lost 1-0 against Karlsruhe. However, they haven't been involved in the first round since 2022/23, when they lost to Dortmund. Therefore, they'll be hoping to mark their return with a win.

Holstein Kiel's DFB Cup history

Kiel have proven themselves capable of a deep cup run in recent years. They went as far as the semi-finals in 2020/21, where they lost to Borussia Dortmund, and went out to eventual finalists Stuttgart in the quarter-finals of last season's edition.
