Bayern hit back from a goal down to hammer Leipzig 5-1 at the Red Bull Arena in the Bundesliga in January, with all five of their goals falling in a blistering second-half display. The defending Bundesliga champions also ran roughshod in the reverse fixture - a 6-0 rout featuring a Kane hat-trick.

Bayern - the story so far

Five Harry Kane goals have helped Bayern overcome some tricky obstacles en route to the quarter-finals. The Englishman scored twice, including a stoppage-time winner, against 3. Liga's Wehen Wiesbaden in the opening round (3-2), before grabbing another brace in a 4-1 win over Bundesliga rivals Cologne in round 2. He was on target again away to top-flight contemporaries Union Berlin in the round of 16 as the record 20-time cup winners snuck through 3-2.

Leipzig - the story so far

Leipzig had to come from behind twice against fourth-tier Sandhausen in the first round, eventually prevailing 4-2. Third Division side Energie Cottbus put up less of a fight in the second round as Die Roten Bullen marched through 4-1, before recovering from an early deficit to knock out Bundesliga 2's Magdeburg in the last 16.
