The 22-year-old has penned a four-and-a-half year contract that will tie him to the Wolves through to 30 June 2030.

Upon the Ghanian defender's arrival, sporting director Pirmin Schwegler said: "Jonas is a very strong and physical player. He brings exactly the qualities we need for our defence.

"At Basel, he proved himself both in the league and internationally over the past three-and-a-half years. We have high hopes for Jonas and are convinced that he will strengthen our team immediately."

The 6'2" central defender left Ghana for Switzerland in 2022 and went on to make 73 appearances across all competitions for Basel, helping his former club to a league and cup double in 2024/25.

Adjetey, who made 23 appearances for the Swiss club this term, including six in the UEFA Europa League, said: "It means a lot to me to be in the Bundesliga now and to take this step with Wolfsburg. I'm looking forward to getting started right away."
