
VfB Stuttgart sign Jeremy Arévalo from Racing Santander
VfB Stuttgart have added to their attacking options by signing Ecuador international striker Jeremy Arévalo from Racing Santander.
The 20-year-old has agreed a five-and-a-half-year contract valid until June 2031 at the MHP Arena.
"VfB Stuttgart is a big club that has drawn international recognition in recent times," said Arévalo on Stuttgart's official club website.
"I’m really looking forward to getting to know my new team-mates and taking part in my first few training sessions. I’m hoping to settle in quickly, to continue to develop and to help the team so that we can be successful together."
The left-footed forward was born in Spain and represented the country of his birth at U18 level before switching allegiance to Ecuador, earning his first senior cap in November 2025 in a friendly against Canada.
He has impressed in the Spanish second division this season, scoring eight goals in 18 league outings.

"We’re very pleased that Jeremy will wear our jersey in the new year," said Stuttgart board member for sport Fabian Wohlgemuth.
"He already has a lot of attributes a striker needs, and he demonstrated his qualities in Santander. He’s still young and we see a lot of potential in Jeremy that we want to unlock with him. During our talks it became clear that he was determined to take the step into the Bundesliga can’t wait so showcase his abilities with us."
Stuttgart, who reached the winter break in sixth place, resume their campaign away at Bayer Leverkusen - only three places and three points ahead - on Saturday, 10 January.
