Six-goal thriller sees Bayern Munich and Viking share the spoils in UEFA Champions League

Stensness and Christiansen stun Bayern

Viking pressed high from the first whistle and the approach paid off instantly when Zlatko Tripić's corner was met by Gianni Stensness, who guided a header past Urbig after two minutes.

Bayern dominated possession and worked several chances through Olise, Luis Díaz and Kane, but Arlid Østbø kept out efforts from Bayern's attacking trio.

Shortly before half-time, Viking struck again on the counter. Erik Botheim's long ball set up Peter Christiansen, who finished from inside the box to make it 2-0.

Kane drags Bayern level

Coming out for the second period with renewed desire, Kristoffer Haugen brought down Konrad Laimer in the box, and Kane converted the resulting penalty low into the bottom corner to make it 2-1.

Six minutes later, Kane headed in Joshua Kimmich's cross from a short corner routine to level the tie before Díaz then completed the turnaround, finishing from close range after a move involving Kane and Laimer, putting Bayern 3-2 ahead in the 71st minute.

Olise sees red, Haugen levels late

Olise was shown two yellow cards in quick succession, first for a foul and then for throwing the ball at Tripić, and was sent off in the 74th minute.

Viking pushed for an equaliser with a triple substitution and, in the 90th minute, Tripić crossed for substitute Herman Haugen, who headed past Urbig to make it 3-3.

Bayern host Arsenal in their next Champions League fixture on 21 October.
