It looks like RBLZ_Umut is heading to back-to-back cross-console finals as he increases his lead, relieving a good spell of pressure to go 1-0 ahead in the second leg, and 3-0 on aggregate.

FIRST LEG TO RBLZ_UMUT

A second goal for RBLZ_Umut, who takes a 2-0 first-leg win into the second leg, and a return to the final for the second year running is on the cards for the title holder. That's SVW_Chaser's first defeat of today, though, so he's shown a winning mentality before, and needs one again now.

On the XBOX, DullenMIKE is closing in on a place in the console final too, repeating his 2-0 win from the first leg with another 2-0 so far in the second, with time ticking down.

RBLZ_Umut has turned his tie around in the second leg, winning 2-1 to become the first finalist on the PS5! Denii10 got off to a good start against SVW Chaser, but he equalised straight away and is close to securing his place in the final.

Defending champion RBLZ_Umut has his work cut out. Having been 3-1 down to Denii10 at half-time in their second leg, he went down 5-3 after 90 minutes. As before, there was nothing to separate PredatorFIFA and Serhathino.

There's never been a back-to-back VBL champion, but holder RBLZ_Umut has made a winning start, beating Denii10 2-0 in the first leg of their PS5 Swiss-Roung fixture. Meanwhile, PredatorFIFA and Serhathinho played out a goalless draw.

Led by reigning individual champion Umut “RBLZ_umut” Gültekin, the field of participants at the VBL Grand Final consists of 32 players, 16 per console (PlayStation 5/Xbox Series X/S). You can find out here who was able to qualify via the VBL Club Championship by Bevestor team competition and the playoffs of the VBL Open by Bevestor.

At the VBL Grand Final in XPOST (more about the location), you can see the national FIFA elite live for the first time in over two years. At present, almost 80 percent of the ticket quota has already been sold. Get your ticket now in the ticket shop for the second final day on Sunday, June 5th.

Modus

Divided between the two consoles, 16 players play against each other in the so-called Swiss mode at the VBL Grand Final. The first of the five rounds is drawn randomly, after which the players will be matched round by round with participants with the same win/loss record.

A round consists of a first and second game, from which the goals scored are added up. In the event of a tie, the decision is made in extra time or, if applicable, in penalty shootout After five Swiss rounds, the top eight players on each platform qualify for the knockout phase (single elimination). The best Xbox player and the best player on the PlayStation finally compete against each other in the so-called cross-console final.

Squad restriction

Like the playoffs of the VBL Open, FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) mode will be played. Players may only use player items from the Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga and have a maximum of two players from one club in the team squad. In addition, a German icon (Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm, Lothar Matthäus, Miroslav Klose, Michael Ballack) and a Bundesliga hero player (e.g. Mario Gomez) are allowed.

Prize money

As in the previous year, the prize pool is €100,000. The winner of the VBL Grand Final will receive a total of 40,000€, the runner-up can look forward to 20,000€ in prize money. The complete distribution of the prize money:
