Man of the Match: How players are nominated
During the final phase of every Bundesliga match, six players are put forward for the Man of the Match voting. The nomination of candidates is based on comprehensive match data collected throughout the game.
Based on their match data, each player receives a live score. This increases through actions such as goals, assists or winning tackles and decreases through actions such as fouls, missed penalties or dismissals.
The six players with the highest score at the beginning of the 83rd minute are automatically nominated for the Man of the Match voting.
