Jovan Milošević joins Werder Bremen on loan from VfB Stuttgart
Werder Bremen have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of Jovan Milošević on loan from VfB Stuttgart until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old put pen to paper on a two-year extension to the contract that was due to expire in June 2027 before joining Bremen where he will provide cover for Victor Boniface, who faces several months on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on his knee on Saturday.
“We are delighted to have signed Jovan,” said Peter Niemeyer, Werder’s head of professional football.
“He is a young, talented striker who developed very well during his last loan spell at Partizan Belgrade. He fits the profile we are looking for perfectly.”
After joining Stuttgart from Serbian club FK Vojvodina Novi Sad in July 2023, Milošević made five Bundesliga appearances for the Swabian club before spending one year on loan at St. Gallen, where he returned five goals in 22 matches.
In January 2025, after a brief return to Stuttgart, Milošević was sent back out on loan, joining Partizan for the year, where he chalked 19 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions.
“I am really looking forward to the challenge at this traditional club,” said Milošević, who made his senior Serbia debut in November.
“I want to develop further at Werder and in the Bundesliga and help the team achieve its goals."
Milošević's chance may be just around the corner as Bremen return to Bundesliga action midweek when they face Borussia Dortmund on the road on Matchday 17.
