Jamal Musiala first Bayern Munich player back in training
Jamal Musiala resumed training at Bayern Munich on Friday, a day before the rest of his team-mates as he intensifies preparations to return from injury.
With the rest of the Bayern squad due to start training on Saturday 3 January ahead of their first competitive match of 2026 at home to Wolfsburg the following weekend, Musiala kicked off his training regime at the club’s Säbener Straße headquarters on Friday morning.
In a lengthy individual session, Musiala first completed stability and strength work before heading out to the pitch in the afternoon. Back in December, the midfielder took a big step towards his return by rejoining parts of full team training for the first time.
The 22-year-old made the most of the winter break for some down time in Sweden, recharging his batteries ahead of his much-anticipated return to action this year.
After suffering a serious injury at the Club World Cup in the summer - a broken fibula and a dislocated ankle - he’s now pushing hard to make his Bundesliga comeback and get his season properly up and running.
