1 - Marcel Rapp's Kiel will make their Bundesliga debut in 2024/25. They are the first team from the German state of Schleswig-Holstein to compete in today's top flight, and the northernmost in the division's history.
2 - Holstein narrowly missed out on promotion via the play-off in 2017/18 and 2020/21, losing to Wolfsburg and Cologne respectively.
