Bayern Munich's Harry Kane on the trail of even more goalscoring records
Enjoying his third season of Bundesliga football with Bayern Munich, Harry Kane continues to prove why he has become so synonymous with not just goals but records as well.
Kane has already scored 17 times in the league this season - nine more than the injured Jonathan Burkardt in second. This means that after 13 matchdays, Bayern’s No.9 has the second-best record ever at this stage of a Bundesliga season.
Who has a better record, you ask? Well, it is naturally Kane himself. During his debut campaign in Bayern clours in 2023/24, the 32-year-old had 18 goals at this stage.

Should the Bayern striker continue to score at this rate, then he could finish the season with a staggering 44 league goals. That’s a number that would surpass predecessor Robert Lewandowski's single-season record of 41 goals (2020/21).
With 79 goals in 76 Bundesliga matches and an average of a Bundesliga goal every 78.8 minutes following his hat-trick from the bench against VfB Stuttgart on Matchday 13, Kane is simply in a league of his own. By comparison, the late Gerd Müller, the previous fastest player to 79 Bundesliga goals, needed 111 games to achieve the same feat.

To complete his lethal penalty box armoury, the former Tottenham Hotspur man also has nerves of steel from the spot. To date, he has converted all 19 penalties he has taken in the Bundesliga. His only miss for Bayern came in the first round of the 2025/26 DFB Cup against Wehen Wiesbaden. That rare blot to the copybook ended an outstanding run of 31 consecutive penalty conversions in competitive matches.
In the Bundesliga, the Englishman has converted all 19 of his Bundesliga penalties; another record, this time for consecutive penalty conversions without missing. He has also taken the most penalties of all Bundesliga players to have a perfect record.
Don't expect the Englishman to be slowing down anytime soon, either. With 21 matches left to play in 2025/26 and relegation-threatened Mainz and Heidenheim to come before the winter break, the unbeaten Bundesliga leaders' star striker is on track to reach 100 league goals long before the season is out.
