Harry Kane could miss Eintracht Frankfurt game after going off against Celtic
Harry Kane could miss Bayern Munich's Matchday 23 clash with Eintracht Frankfurt, both the Englishman and coach Vincent Kompany have revealed after Tuesday's UEFA Champions League game against Celtic.
Kane started as Bayern took on Celtic in the second leg of their Champions League play-off tie. However, the 31-year-old was taken off at half-time, which the club have now confirmed was due to a calf issue.
After the match, which ended in a 1-1 draw thanks to Alphonso Davies' late equaliser - a goal that saw the Bavarians progress 3-2 on aggregate - Kane spoke to the media about his fitness.
"I'm OK," he said. "We have to do a scan. We tried everything to try it today. But it didn't feel good in the first half. It was better to put someone else on the field. I'm not sure if I can play against Frankfurt on Sunday."

Kompany also commented on the striker's situation, saying, "It's a bit of a shame that Harry is out. But I can't say yet how long or what he has. But we actually have almost the full squad available."
Kane missed Bayern's final training session ahead of the Celtic clash, although Kompany said that this was "not unusual" given the team's packed schedule. Also, Kane revealed that he was still struggling with a jaw issue suffered in a collision during the weekend's Bayer Leverkusen game, while Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl said an ankle issue had also affected his mobility.
On Wednesday, Bayern also confirmed that Kane will miss training in the "coming days" and while it was not specified how long he will be absent, his participation against the Eagles is increaisingly in doubt.
Should Kane be unavailable for the game, Kompany will have to be creative up front but does have an otherwise fully fit squad at his disposal, with the likes of Thomas Müller, Serge Gnabry, Michael Olise or Leroy Sané all options to fill the gap, should the Bundesliga's leading scorer not recover in time.
