Goal in Heidenheim sees Harry Kane surpass Erling Haaland for another Bundesliga goalscoring record
Harry Kane’s opener in Bayern Munich’s 4-0 away win over Heidenheim helped propel the Bavarians towards a straightforward win in the title race, whilst simultaneously seeing the Englishman best Erling Haaland's previous goalscoring record.
Most players would be wheeling away in delirious celebration if they knew a goal they had scored had broken a Bundesliga record, but this was just another day at the office for Bayern's Harry Kane.
The Bavarians' talisman scored the opener in their 4-0 humbling of Heidenheim on Matchday 30 with a finish that lifted him up to 24 league goals in 2024/25, whilst becoming the fastest player ever to reach 60 Bundesliga goals, having done so in the exact same number of games.

The previous holder - former Borussia Dortmund and current Manchester City goal machine Erling Haaland - had set what seemed to be an unassailable tally of 60 goals in 65 games during his impressive spell for the Black-and-Yellows.
However, if there was one man who could knock the Norwegian goal-getter off the top, it was always going to be Kane.
Kane's 75 goal involvements in 60 Bundesliga games (60 goals, 15 assists) means the striker is averaging one every 72 minutes, the consistency of which borders on the sublime.
Since scoring and assiting on his debut against Werder Bremen on Matchday 1 of his maiden 2023/24 campaign, he has also scored against every single team he has ever faced in the competition.
With just four rounds of games left to play this time around and Bayern boasting a healthy lead of nine points at the top (which Bayer Leverkusen can close to six with a win on Sunday), fans of the current table-toppers will be hoping their King Kane can continue to deliver the goods and help the Rekordmeister claim a 33rd Bundesliga title.
