Haris Tabaković leaves Hoffenheim to join RB Salzburg on a permanent basis
Haris Tabaković will join Austrian side RB Salzburg on a three-year deal from Hoffenheim following a three-year stay in German football that also saw him turn out for Hertha Berlin and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina frontman departs following a brilliant individual campaign at Gladbach that saw him score 13 goals in 32 appearances for the Foals on loan from Hoffenheim.
Tabaković arrived at Borussia-Park following a difficult start to life with his parent club that saw him net three goals in 22 games for the Sinsheim outfit. He'll now head to Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga where he'll look to carry on the form he showed in the 2025/26 campaign.
"Haris is an outstanding character and I sincerely thank him for his time at Hoffenheim," expressed sporting director Paul Pajduch. "We wish Haris all the best for his future."
Tabaković's first stop in German football came at Hertha Berlin, where he registered 25 goals and eight assists in just 39 games across Bundesliga 2 and the DFB Cup, form which earned him a top-flight move to Hoffenheim in the summer of 2024.
He becomes Salzburg's second signing from the Bundesliga this summer, following former Mainz man Nikolas Veratschnig across the border ahead of the new season.
