Germany to host 2024/25 UEFA Nations League Final Four tournament

Germany have been confirmed as hosts of this summer's UEFA Nations League Final Four tournament, with games to be played in Munich and Stuttgart.

UEFA's executive committee announced in December 2024 that the winner of the Nations League quarter-final between Germany and Italy would host the semi-finals, third-place match and final. Julian Nagelsmann's team won the tie 5-4 on aggregate to seal the deal, less than a year after Germany played host to a memorable UEFA Euro 2024.

Germany will play their one-legged semi-final against Portugal on 4 June at Bayern Munich's 75,024-capacity Allianz Arena, which will then provide the stage for the Nations League final on 8 June. Bayern's space-age home ground is also the host for this season's UEFA Champions League final on 31 May.

On 5 June, Croatia or France and holders Spain or the Netherlands will contest the other Nations League semi-final at VfB Stuttgart's 60,058-spectator MHP Arena, the spot for the third-place match between the losing semi-finalists three days later. Like the Allianz Arena, Stuttgart's home stadium was one of 10 state-of-the-art host stadiums at Euro 2024.

It is the first time four-time FIFA World Cup and three-time European champions Germany have reached the Nations League Final Four. Nagelsmann's side are unbeaten in the 2024/25 edition, a run spanning eight matches since their extra-time Euro 2024 quarter-final defeat to eventual winners Spain in Stuttgart.
