Freiburg sign attacking talent Louey Ben Farhat from Karlsruhe
Freiburg have signed 20-year-old Tunisian international Louey Ben Farhat from Karlsruhe, with the attacker remaining at the Bundesliga 2 club on loan this season.
Ben Farhat has developed into a major talent since making his debut for Karlsruhe in March 2024, netting six goals and providing two assists in the 2025/26 Bundesliga 2 campaign. Additionally, he's already off the mark for this season, having recorded an assist, and has two full caps for Tunisia despite his young age.
"We are delighted to have secured the services of such an exciting young player as Louey," said Freiburg sporting director Klemens Hartenbach.
"Louey is technically very gifted and possesses excellent spatial awareness. He can be a threat in front of goal himself, but he can also effectively utilise his teammates."

"I’m happy to have finalised everything with Freiburg," said Ben Farhat.
"Now I’ll give it my all at Karlsruhe to be successful with the team and get myself into top shape. Then I’m looking forward to the new big challenge at Freiburg."
He will join his new teammates ahead of their Bundesliga game at newly promoted Paderborn on 5 September, while his home debut could come against Borussia Mönchengladbach the following weekend.
