Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz the stars of multimedia museum exhibition
Germany teammates Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz are the subjects of a new, state-of-the-art exhibition at the German Football Museum in Dortmund.
The 'SUPERHEROES' experience, which opened on 25 March, tells the story of two of German football's most gifted talents through an extraordinary multimedia format. The exhibition - the first of its kind dedicated to two current players - will run until 6 January 2027 and has been developed in close consultation with Bayern Munich's Musiala and former Bayer Leverkusen ace Wirtz (now of Liverpool).
"Figures from contemporary history usually take decades, often even centuries, to find their way into the annals of museums. At just 22 and 23 years of age, Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz are already making their mark on the exhibition world at the German Football Museum. That's quite the statement!" said German Football Museum director Manuel Neukirchner.
"With our new blockbuster exhibition, we are closer to the pulse of the times than ever before. The way we are presenting Jamal and Florian in the museum is as spectacular as their playing style itself."

A 1,000-square-metre exhibition space has been transformed by the immersive installation into a powerful visual space featuring multiple projections.
The story of Musiala and Wirtz is brought to life across a large area using high-resolution film footage, photographs, comic strips, self-produced animations and extraordinary exhibits. Noises, sounds and tones capture the soundscape of today's football world.
The exhibition straddles the boundary between digital and analogue exhibition design, between film and performance. Visitors get to experience Musiala and Wirtz from a whole new perspective.
In addition to the main exhibition, the German Football Museum is presenting the gallery exhibition 'Live Your Dream! The Story of Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz,' which is designed as a walk-through graphic novel, spanning the past, present and future.
Following a pre-exhibition application process, some 400 children and young people and their families were invited along to the event opening for an exclusive first look.
