Key stats

Neuhaus has made over 160 Bundesliga appearances since joining Gladbach in 2017. He's been involved in over 40 goals in that time, whilst gaining European experience in the UEFA Champions and Europa League. The 6'0" midfielder also spent the 2017/18 season on loan in Bundesliga 2, helping Fortuna Düsseldorf gain promotion as champions, with six goals and three assists across his 27 appearances. The 2020/21 campaign is his best yet in the top flight in terms of goals and assists, with six of each.

Before travelling north, Neuhaus played in Munich for 1860, making his senior debut in 2016/17. His domestic breakthrough was reflected in over 20 caps for the Germany U20s and 21s, followed by a further 10 for the seniors. He scored on his first - a 3-3 friendly draw with Turkey, and struck again against Denmark on his sixth. The Gladbach No.10 - who was an unused squad member at the rescheduled UEFA Euro 2020 finals - also produced two assists in 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying.

Plays a bit like: Frenkie de Jong

A deep-lying midfielder with excellent close control, a laser-guided passing range and controlled aggression defensively, Neuhaus has a very similar profile to Barcelona and Netherlands man Frenkie de Jong.

Did you know?

Neuhaus had to choose between 1860 and Bayern after both Munich clubs made him an offer as a 10-year-old. He plumped for the blue of 1860, despite his father being a Bayern fan.
