Midfielder Florian Neuhaus issued fine by Borussia Mönchengladbach
Borussia Mönchengladbach have fined midfielder Florian Neuheus after the player appeared making statements in a video on social media deemed "unacceptable" by the club.
As well as the financial penalty handed down to Neuhaus, the 28-year-old will not be permitted to train with Gladbach's senior team for the next four weeks and will train with the club's U23s instead.
“Florian Neuhaus’s behaviour and statements are damaging to the club and unacceptable," Gladbach CEO, Dr Stefan Stegemann, said in a statement. "His words have harmed the club and deeply disappointed those involved. This is incompatible with the values of the club,” he added.
