Felix Nmecha in unusual 'shirt swap' with referee after Borussia Dortmund beat Augsburg
After collecting all three points with Borussia Dortmund, Felix Nmecha was given something extra to remember the game by as the referee Bastian Dankert gave the midfielder an inscribed red card.
During Dortmund’s 2-0 win over Augsburg on Saturday, Nmecha and referee Dankert were involved in an unfortunate collision in the 55th minute that led to a brief stoppage of play.
Nmecha had tried to pick up a loose ball in midfield, but unfortunately, the referee got in his way, leading to Nmecha bumping into the back of the unsuspecting official, sending him sprawling to the ground.
Fortunately, the knock wasn’t too severe, and Dankert was able to blow his whistle to halt play for a couple of minutes before the game continued.
After the game, the pair shared a good-humoured ‘shirt’ swap as the Germany midfielder was given an inscribed red card by the referee that said, "Rethink your tackling," along with the date and the teams involved in the game.
Speaking about the collision, Nmecha seemed in good spirits, jokingly saying, "It didn't hurt me at all. I think only his back hurt. I think he's okay. I hope he's okay. I would have gotten the ball."

Although Dankert might disagree with Nmecha’s comments, the good-spirited exchange between the two has left Nmecha with a very unique souvenir.
