David Møller Wolfe joins Hamburg on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers
Hamburg have announced the signing of Norwegian international David Møller Wolfe on loan from English Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers for the remainder of 2026/27.
"David brings a lot of quality and a great character,” said HSV sporting director Claus Costa.
“He's a well-rounded full-back, possesses a good mix of physicality and athleticism, and plays with high intensity. With his dynamic style of play, his energetic runs, and his defensive qualities, he fits perfectly into our team and opens up additional options for us. We're delighted that we were able to convince him to join us."
Wolfe, who will wear the No.3, added: "After speaking with Claus and Merlin, I really wanted to come here.
“I’ve never felt so sought after by a club in my career, and I’m absolutely convinced that we could be a good fit. It’s the right step for me to develop further and become the player I want to be. I have a lot of energy that I want to bring to the team, and I’m a passionate guy who always gives his all on the pitch.”
The Norwegian only joined Wolves last summer and played 29 games for the club, including 22 in the Premier League, scoring two goals and providing three assists. At the FIFA World Cup 2026, Wolfe was an important part of the Norway squad that made it to the quarter-final before losing to Harry Kane’s England.
Wolfe has played 27 times for his country, scoring one goal and could make his debut when Hamburg host Mainz on Sunday.
