Harry Kane and Eric Dier face a reunion with former club Tottenham Hotspur, when Bayern Munich take on the English Premier League outfit in a summer friendly on 10 August (kick-off: 6.30pm CEST).

It will be the first time Kane and Dier have lined up against Tottenham following their respective July 2023 and January 2024 moves to Bayern. The game, to be played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, is part of the pre-season Visit Malta Cup.

Kane joined Bayern as Tottenham's record scorer on 280 goals in 435 competitive games, spanning 12 years at the north London club. The England striker has continued to fire with tremendous regularity for Bayern, scoring 37 times across his first 35 outings in all competitions, including a debut-season record 31 in the Bundesliga.

With eight rounds of 2023/24 Bundesliga fixtures remaining, the prolific Bayern No.9 could yet break Robert Lewandowski's record for most goals in a single campaign (41, 2020/21).

Dier had been on the Tottenham books since 2014, making the majority of his 364 competitive appearances as part of a team that included Kane. The 30-year-old initially joined Bayern on a six-month loan until the end of the 2023/24 season, before the 11-in-a-row defending Bundesliga champions exercised a clause to make his move permanent.

Kane and Dier were involved in some capacity when Bayern last met Tottenham, in the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League group stage. The Bavarians won 7-2 in London and 3-1 in Munich, setting the tone for an historic sextuple-winning year under Hansi Flick. Kane scored in the home leg, but missed the reverse fixture through injury.
