2026 German eFootball championship: Nassim 'Nassada-' Dahman wins VBL Grand Final by WOW
Freiburg's Nassim 'Nassada-' Dahman has been crowned WOW Virtual Bundesliga 2026 singles champion after getting the better of RB Leipzig's Alihan 'RBLZ_Alihanlion' Hadzhi on Sunday.
Dahman emerged triumphant at the two-day VBL Grand Final tournament by WOW in Hamburg, beating Hadzhi 9-7 after extra-time in an enthralling final contest. The game was played on EA SPORTS FC 26 in ‘Ultimate Team’ mode. Both Dahman and Hadzhi had qualified for the knockout stages after winning all four of their group-stage matches.
The 19-year-old was visibly delighted when presented with the VBL Championship trophy in front of a jubilant crowd at Hamburg’s XPERION. “It’s unbelievable,” said Dahman, who was also awarded €40,000 in prize money. “A huge thank you to everyone who supported me. It’s been a fantastic season.”

Felix Rentscher, Head of the Virtual Bundesliga, added: “Congratulations to Nassim Dahman on his well-deserved title win. With eight wins from eight games in the group stage and final tournament, he was the most consistent player in the competition. On behalf of the DFL, I congratulate him on this brilliant achievement.
“Overall, we can look back very positively on the VBL campaign. The competitions were impressive in several respects - from the reach we achieved and the organisation of the events to the atmosphere here and the excitement levels during the tournament. We look forward to continuing in this path with the players, clubs and partners next season.”
Following an entertaining ‘online’ group stage, 16 players faced off in the ‘offline’ knockout stages of the VBL Grand Final. Participants had booked their place at the tournament via either the VBL Club Championship by Wow or the VBL Open by WOW play-offs. The overall prize pot amounted to €100,000, which was shared among the best players.

The two finalists are normally guaranteed a place in the EA SPORTS FC Pro World Championship, where the best players from other domestic leagues and international tournaments compete for the FC Pro world title. However, as Dahman had already secured his place at the competition prior to the VBL Grand Final, a another spot was up for grabs in Hamburg this weekend.
That coveted World Cup berth went to Justin ‘milkalove’ Springer of Holstein Kiel, who beat Mustafa ‘xMusti19’ Cankal of Hannover in the third-place play-off. Leipzig’s Umut ‘RBLZ_Umut’ Gültekin had also sealed a place at the Pro World Championship before the weekend but was beaten by Dahman in the last 16 of the Grand Final.
