Daniel Bauer on facing Gladbach

"We're expecting an extremely solid opponent in Mönchengladbach. They're a team that's currently on a roll, play compactly, and aren't afraid to let the ball go, while they also defend cleverly. This means we'll have more possession and we want to use it to our advantage, playing bravely but patiently against them."

Early Wolfsburg team news

Despite needing to leave the field with injury against Union Berlin last week, Mohamed Amoura is fit for this one. However, there remain plenty of issues for Daniel Bauer to contend with. Bence Dardai, Moritz Jenz, Joakim Mæhle, Kevin Paredes, Rogério and Jonas Wind are all unavailable, while Adam Daghim, Marius Müller and Vinícius Souza are doubts. Jesper Lindström missed team training on Thursday, suggesting he may not be able to feature, but Killian Fischer is an option again.

Goalkeeper Jonas Omlin has returned to training, but this clash is likely to come too soon for him.

Eugen Polanski on facing Wolfsburg

"Under interim coach Daniel Bauer, Wolfsburg have picked up four points from three games. You can see that the new coach has made a difference. The last three matches clearly show that they are a dangerous, high-performing team. We know their strengths, but we can confidently say that we are currently in a very good position ourselves and intend to bring our own qualities to the pitch."
