Goal ruled out
From the ensuing free-kick, Masouras is onto the ball in behind and slots into the far corner from left of goal, but the flag is immediately raised. The Bochum striker had gone far too early there.

As it stands...
Bochum will be moving out of the automatic relegation zone if they can hang onto this result, but Heidenheim are still to play tomorrow.
79'
Mæhle!
Wolfsburg get this move right as the Dane is found in the box to the left of goal. He goes for the far top corner on his stronger right foot. Just inches over the bar.

A rare clean sheet?
Bochum haven't actually managed a shutout away from home in the Bundesliga for 21 games, since a 0-0 draw at Heidenheim in November 2023.
74'
Final ball lacking
Wolfsburg just can't string together a telling move as an attempted through ball trundles through to Horn, who's on course for back-to-back clean sheets having not played in the Bundesliga for three years.
72'
Ordets in the book
He catches Wind on the ankle and picks up a card.

Still time for a comeback
Wolfsburg have twice won from losing positions already this season.

Amoura levels! But it doesn't count...
Gerhardt with the square ball towards Wind. Krauß actually gets there first but only ends up knocking it to the feet of Amoura. Wolfsburg's top scorer then coolly finishes over Horn from left of goal, but it's then reviewed by the referee, who deems Wind fouled Krauß and chalks off the leveller.

Hasenhüttl reacts
A double change from the hosts. It's like-for-like on the right wing with Skov Olsen for Tomás. It also looks like Bornauw will slot straight in at right-back for Roerslev.

Tomás has a shot blocked. It comes straight out to Svanberg, but the stand-in captain's shot sails over.

Hofmann!
Great hustle from Masouras to chase down a long ball and hold it up. He turns and feeds Hofmann, whose left-footed effort from 20 yards is too close to Müller.

Momentum shift
It felt like Wolfsburg had the better start, but the visitors have definitely found their feet and are enjoying a good spell in the opposition half.

Hofmann wide!
Corner into a box isn't dealt with and lands by the feet of the stand-in skipper, but he lashes wide from 12 yards out. First effort of the game that hasn't actually been on target.

Masouras denied!
Best move and chance of the game. Holtmann races onto a diagonal ball up the left and hooks it into the box. Masouras runs onto it from the opposite flank and forces Müller into a very good reaction stop to push the header over the bar.
27'
No takers
Amoura suddenly in acres of space up the right, but there's nobody there as he cuts it back to the edge of the box. The Algerian was offside in any case.

Tomás goes low
The forward is quickest to react to an intercepted pass and lets fly from the edge of the box. It's an easy enough hold for Horn low to his right in the end.

Marouras
Last weekend's two-goal hero gets the ball after a bit of penalty area ping pong, but can't beat Müller from a tight angle.
12'
Amoura denied
Almost a disaster for the visitors as Bernardo plays the ball straight to Amoura, whose quick effort is just about stopped by Horn's leg on his second start as new first-choice goalkeeper.
8'
Koulierakis header
The big Greek defender gets his head on the end of the free-kick. It's a simple hold for Horn in the Bochum goal.
7'
Early booking
Bero trips Roerslev cutting inside and gives away a free-kick. It's his response of kicking the ball away that early him the first card of the game and his eighth of the campaign, though.

Early team news
There are a whole host of absentees for Wolfsburg, including captain Maximilian Arnold, Kamil Grabara and Lovro Majer. The good news is that Lukas Nmecha is in contention to return. Bochum, meanwhile, are still without top scorer Myron Boadu, with Felix Passlack and Gerrit Holtmann potentially also on the sidelines.

The entertainers
Only Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt have scored more than Wolfsburg's 45 strikes this term. Ralph Hasenhüttl has got his team firing in the final third.
Anybody's game
Based on the two team's respective from at home and away this term, this match is a hard one to call. While Bochum have managed just two points on their travels this season, Only 13 of Wolfsburg's 33 points have come at their own ground.

Tale of the tape
Wolfsburg have won five of their past seven meetings with Bochum since the latter's return to the top flight in 2021, more than against any other team during that period. A win here would also see them register a third consecutive triumph in this match-up, something neither side have previously managed. Bochum did manage a win in 2023 though, as they prevailed 3-1.
A Hecking homecoming
He may be from the Bochum area, but it's in Wolfsburg where Dieter Hecking enjoyed some of his best days, leading the Wolves to DFB Cup glory and a Bundesliga runners-up finish in 2015 during his four-year stint at the helm.
