Bayern showing their incredible mentality to push on for more despite already being 3-1 ahead, and that's a first of the season for Choupo-Moting.

Bayern's left-back has recorded the joint-fastest speed of any player in the Bundesliga. He did it chasing down Nkunku for a counter-attack from Leipzig, and matches the speed of Bielefeld's Bryan Lasme.

INTENSITY HASN'T DROPPED

We're in the final stages of this game but the intensity from both sides has not dropped one bit. Leipzig are still pressing every time Bayern play a pass and are forcing mistakes from Bayern. But credit to the side in front here, they're not allowing Leipzig to break in behind.

OPEN GAME!

Both sides are finding ways to fly through the other's midfield here which is providing a wide-open game as we approach the final 20 minutes. Forsberg has a shot blocked over the top by his own teammate Haidara, with Musiala lurking on the counter-attack at the other end.

LEIPZIG PUSHING ON

The home side have the wind beneath their wings here and are pressing high against Bayern and winning the ball back against Bayern in midfield. Silva is being isolated slightly in attack, though, and Marsch will be looking for his side to connect the dots more sooner rather than later.

xGoals
The xGoals value of a club is calculated from the sum of all goal probabilities (goals and shots on goal) of that team. During a match, it’s easy to see whether the club is performing better than expected (goals > xGoals) - or maybe even higher (xGoals > goals).
So far, Bayern are ahead and have looked threatening on the counter, but Leipzig are posing more of a threat for a second goal so far.

He slides Lewandowski in behind having beaten the offside trap and he slides the ball across goal where Gnabry is waiting to put the ball home ahead of Gulacsi. But as he's about to pull the trigger, Simakan slides in and puts the ball behind for a corner.

READY TO ROCK!

There are over 34,000 fans in the Red Bull Arena this afternoon for the first time in over 18 months and they are ready to make some big noise as Leipzig and Bayern play out a huge game at the start of the Bundesliga season.

BAYERN'S BIG NUMBERS

Bayern are unbeaten in their last six and have lost only one of 10 Bundesliga matches against Die Roten Bullen (W5, D4). Meanwhile, leading man Lewandowski has scored five times in nine league meetings with Leipzig.

LEIPZIG FORM

Marsch has not made the desired start at Leipzig with two defeats from their opening three league games at the hands of Mainz and Wolfsburg. The American coach has spoken to Sky Germany before this game saying that "points on the board are important now" and so Leipzig will be desperate to pick up something from this game, with a second-ever win over Bayern the ultimate prize.

BAYERN FORM

Nagelsmann have made an unbeaten start to the Bundesliga season with two wins and a draw so far, after their opening night 1-1 draw at Gladbach. Since then, wins over Cologne and Hertha have followed with Nagelsmann looking to keep his Bayern side at pace with those atop the table. Ahead of their opening UEFA Champions League group stage game against Barcelona on Tuesday, Bayern will be looking to keep up their winning run.

GULACSI: LEIPZIG'S CONSTANT

The only player to have played in every single meeting between Leipzig and Bayern, Peter Gulacsi, is once again set to feature today in between the sticks for Leipzig. Yussuf Poulsen, another who could join Gulacsi with that record, is on the bench.

AROUND THE LEAGUE!

There were some huge results in the Bundesliga this afternoon as Dortmund beat Leverkusen in a seven-goal thriller with Erling Haaland bagging a brace. Wolfsburg maintained their perfect start to the season at Fürth, while Mainz made it three wins out of four in Hoffenheim.

LEIPZIG TEAM NEWS

Like Davies for Bayern, Leipzig welcome back their first-choice left-back as Angelino is in to start. Laimer is also back into the starting XI in central midfield alongside Kampl with USMNT midfielder Tyler Adams dropping to the bench.

BAYERN TEAM NEWS

The big news for Bayern is that Davies is fit to start at left-back after an injury scare during the international break. Pavard is back in alongside fit-again Lucas Hernandez, the Frenchman making their first appearances of the season while Sabitzer is alongside Musiala on the bench, with Sane and Gnabry preferred.

LEIPZIG'S SLOW START

Three points from as many games is Leipzig’s worst start to a Bundesliga season. This being their first season under new head coach Jesse Marsch. That said, Die Roten Bullen were the last team to stop Bayern from scoring in competitive action, on 9 February 2020. That was back under Nagelsmann, who now faces them from within the Bayern dugout.

LINE-UPS NOT FAR AWAY!

We've got about an hour and twenty minutes until kick-off in the Red Bull Arena, and that means that we're not far away from seeing the official line-ups for both sides. Will Sabitzer start on debut for Bayern against his former side?

WATCH: ANALYSIS - NAGELSMANN'S BAYERN!

LEIPZIG TEAM NEWS

Angelino and Gvardiol are both over injuries, while Laimer could be preferred in central midfield in place of USA international Adams, who head coach Jesse Marsch hinted may not start after three 90-minute appearances for the Stars and Stripes. Playmaker Olmo is also pushing for his first start of the season after representing Spain at UEFA Euro 2020 and the Olympic Games. Forsberg or Szoboszlai would be candidates to make way.

BAYERN TEAM NEWS

Lewandowski was also among the goals in the recent 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying, as were Gnabry and Sane. One of the latter pair may have to settle for a place on the Bayern bench, though, following Musiala's eye-catching performances for club and country of late. Pavard is back in training, while fit-again Hernandez could make his first appearance of the season if Davies isn't passed fit. Midfielder Sabitzer is also in contention after completing his switch from Leipzig, while centre-back Upamecano faces his former employers for the first time.

TALE OF THE TAPE!

There have been 12 meetings between these two sides in total, with 10 coming in the Bundesliga. Leipzig have won just one of those, back under Ralph Hassenhütll in March 2018. Bayern have won seven in total but in recent years, games between these two sides have been the most tightly-contested of any between sides towards the top of the table and we're sure it will be the same again today.
