HUGE CHANCE FOR CUNHA!

An incredible chance for Cunha to bring the game level. A long ball over the top sends Cunha in behind Alaba and his first touch is perfect to keep him ahead of the defence. He chips Neuer, but the ball bounces wide of goal. Cunha can't believe it and that might be the last big chance Hertha have to get themselves a point from this game.

RADONJIC LOOKING LIVELY

The substitute races away down the left and cuts past a defender into the Bayern box. His shot is hard-hit at the near post but it's straight at Neuer.

LATE CHANGE

The match-winner so far is coming off with Choupo-Moting coming on for the final few minutes.

BAYERN DOING THE FAST YARDS

Hertha have outrun the league leaders overall, but it's Bayern who have had the most sprint in this game.

WELCOME BACK, SAMI KHEDIRA!

The former Stuttgart midfielder is back in the Bundesliga, making his debut for Hertha from the bench. 10 and a half years after his last Bundesliga appearance. Leckie is also on for Lukebakio.
78'

RARE CHANCE

Coman's dinked cross into the box meets Müller in front of goal and he goes to head it down to Lewandowski, but it's gathered by Jarstein. It looked as if Müller might have been better off going for goal himself.

INTO THE FINAL 15...

Flick and Bayern have smiles on their faces but will it stay that way with less than 15 to play in Berlin?
73'

DOUBLE CHANGE

Tolisso and Costa on providing fresh legs with Sane and Gnabry off.

HERTHA COMING INTO THIS

The chances are coming for the home side with high-pressing in the Bayern half helping them win the ball back in dangerous positions. Can they take advantage of this though?
68'

BIG CHANCE!

Radonjic beautifully disguises a pass to his left to play Guendouzi into the Bayern area with three defenders not reading it. The Frenchman's cut-back from the byline to the left of Neuer's goal is a poor one though and Neuer gathers it at his near post.
67'

HERTHA FRUSTRATED

The hosts are finding openings beind the Bayern defence but this time Guendouzi's pass for Radonjic sees the forward caught offside. As long as the scoreline is just 0-1 they will keep hope, but Bayern have taken control of this game more and more.

LOOKING FOR A SOLUTION

Hertha have four shots on target in the opening 15 minutes of this game but none since, with Piatek, Lukebakio and Cunha going quiet since then. Hertha will be looking to revive their attack with the score at only 0-1 in Bayern's favour.
55'

CHANGE IN MIDFIELD

We don't see it often, but Darida has been sacrificed early in the second half with Guendouzi coming on in his place.
52'

BAYERN COMFORTABLE

The league leaders are looking solid here at the start of the second half. Bayern's high line seeing Süle and Alaba defending against Piatek, but it's working well so far.
49'

SNOW NO MORE!

The snow has stopped falling and the Hertha ground staff have cleared the snow on the ground of the Olympiastadion here, so we have a clear and pristine pitch to play on for the second half.
48'

GNABRY GOES CLOSE

The Bayern No.7 has the first chance of the second half as he forces a save from Jarstein with a low driven shot.
47'

HALF-TIME CHANGE

Torunarigha is unable to continue into this second half, with Alderete replacing him at the break.

ADDED TIME

We'll have three minutes of added time at the end of this first half.

ALMOST FOR DODI!

The Belgian fires a free-kick at goal from 25 yards and it deflects off the wall before being handled by Neuer. But Bayern's No.1 drops it on his goalline, but he is able to recover and gather the ball at the second time of asking to keep the score as it is.
43'

BIG CHANCE!

A disappointing end to a promising Hertha move as the home side break forward in numbers. Cunha finds Piatek on the left and he perfectly cuts inside past Süle onto his right foot. He has options around him but goes for goal, but totally miscues his effort sending his shot high and wide. A shot on target at the very least would have been expected there.
41'

DARIDA BOOKED

Hertha's industrious midfielder joins Pavard in the referee's box for dissent.
40'

ALL BAYERN HERE

The league leaders taking more and more control of this game in recent minutes with Hertha barely able to get possession out of their own half and keep it. The away side will be delighted if they can stand firm with this lead until the break.

We may see the first showing of a fluorescent ball in the Bundesliga this season as this game continues. The snow shows no sign of letting up here.
31'

PAVARD BOOKED

The first yellow card of the night goes to Pavard for a foul on Lukebakio.
30'

SHOTS COMING IN

Coman comes close again to scoring but his effort is blocked. It came moments after Hernandez's cross was cleared away from his own goal by Torunarigha. The Hertha defence having plenty of work to do here in the first 30 minutes.

COMAN IN THE SNOW

The opening goal for Bayern, scoring in the heavy Berlin snow.
25'

BLOOD FOR SÜLE

The Bayern centre-back has a cut on his forehead after challenging Torunarigha to meet a cross into the Hertha box. He'll need some bandaging on that to continue in this game.
24'

COMAN AGAIN!

Another big chance for Bayern's French forward to get on the scoresheet. Kimmich pings a dream long ball over the Hertha defence and Coman latches onto it over Stark and Torunarigha. Jarstein parries the shot away this time.
21'

COMAN FOR THE LEAD!

Whatever Lewandowski can't do, Kingsley Coman can. It's a fortunate one for Bayern as the Frenchman finds space on the left corner of the Hertha box and shoots at goal. It deflects off Stark and floats over Jarstein almost in slow-motion, and it finds its way into the back of the net.

ALL DOWN THE RIGHT

Bayern are finding a lot of joy down the right so far with Kimmich laying Pavard into the Hertha area with a lovely through-ball. This one is cleared for a corner, but Hertha are struggling to keep the chances to a minimum.
camera-photo

A RARE LEWY PENALTY MISS

Bayern's No.9 didn't watch Jarstein all the way while taking his penalty, and paid the price with the Hertha No.1 diving the right way to keep his spot-kick out. Lewandowski had scored each of his last 17 penalties in all competitions, missing his first since January 2019.
14'

PIATEK HAS A GO!

Hertha are on the break with Darida down the right, He does well to cut back inside the Bayern area and lays it off to Piatek to shoot. He can't quite get it out of his feet but does enough to fire a shot on target which forces Neuer to tip the ball over his own crossbar.
12'

PENALTY SAVED!

Well, that doesn't happen often. WOW! Jarstein goes the right way and SAVES Lewandowski's penalty. A fantastic piece of goalkeeping.
10'

BAYERN PENALTY!

Sane is brought down by Jarstein in the Hertha area and Bayern have a penalty.
9'

GNABRY SNUFFED OUT

Pavard again pushing into the middle and the ball, fortunately, bounces through Lewandowski and over the Hertha defence for Gnabry to chase. Mittelstädt recovers at just the right time to clear the ball before a shot can get away.
7'

OPEN START!

This game is bypassing the midfield for now, with long and direct passes from both sides breaking through either side's midfield line. Piatek fires a shot over from the edge of the Bayern box for Hertha with chances coming at both ends. A vibrant opening here in the snow-filled capital.
5'

HUGE CHANCE!

A carbon copy of Lukebakio's chance comes at the other end for Sane, with Pavard's pass playing him in behind the Hertha defence. It's on his weaker right foot and he too goes across goal with his shot, but Jarstein is equal to it.
3'

HUGE CHANCE!

Cunha slots Lukebakio in on goal for the first chance of the game and the Belgian has the chance to score past Neuer on his right foot across goal. He looks for the far bottom corner, but Neuer's right foot is in the way. A fantastic save early doors.
2'

BAYERN SET UP

It is indeed Gnabry and Müller playing centrally, in more of a 4-3-3 for Bayern. Coman and Sane are right up alongside Lewandowski in support in these early minutes.

HERE WE GO!

The ball is rolling in Berlin for the visit of Bayern as we get the weekend underway.
Kick-off!

KICK-OFF COMING UP!

It's a cold and wintery night in the German capital with snow falling in Berlin for the visit of Bayern. The Munich players will be flying off to Doha, in Qatar, right after this game to enjoy some sunny weather as they then prepare to play in the FIFA Club World Cup next week.

TALE OF THE TAPE

Bayern can move 10 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table overnight, ahead of RB Leipzig who face Schalke tomorrow evening. Hertha, meanwhile, are looking to get themselves back out of a potential relegation battle. They sit level on points with Arminia Bielefeld - who are in the relegation play-off spot.

DODI THE MAN?

Dodi Lukebakio is set to face his favourite opponent: he has scored five times in as many games against the record champions. Matheus Cunha is Hertha's six-goal top scorer this term, though, followed by Piatek on five. Lukebakio has three.

HERTHA TEAM NEWS

A World Cup winner with Germany in 2014, Khedira brings a wealth of experience to the midfield following decorated stints with Real Madrid and Juventus, and he is in the squad on the bench. Radonjic has also come in from Marseille on a loan deal with an option to buy to join the substitutes. Piatek's fifth goal of the season is enough for the Pole to retain the lone striker's role, whether or not Cordoba is fit. Mittelstädt is back to replace 17-year-old Netz at left-back.

BAYERN TEAM NEWS

Flick has named his strongest available squad for the competition in Qatar, so may be tempted to rotate at Hertha's Olympic Stadium. Defenders Süle and Hernandez, as well as teenaged Anglo-German midfielder Musiala and attacker Sane are among the names knocking at the door for inclusion, and only Musiala is left on the bench. Central midfield pair Goretzka and Martinez will play no part, however.
