THRILLER

A veritable game of two halves as Fortuna throw away a 3-0 lead in the second period. Hertha deserve credit - and what a crucial point it could be in the context of the relegation battle. Fortuna stay in the relegation play-off spot, while Hertha move six points clear of the bottom three.

OFF THE POST!

Mittelstädt launches a probing ball into the Fortuna box. Hoffmann's attempted clearance is very tame and is straight to Cunha, whose first-time effort strikes the base of the woodwork. Kastenmeier didn't move. Why didn't Hertha play like this in the first half?!
89'

SUTTNER!

Hertha are caught ball-watching as Suttner collects unmarked on the left-hand side of the D. He takes aim, but Klünter recovers the ground really well and does just enough to put the Fortuna full-back off. He drives wide.
84'

NANA-NO!

Nana Ampomah is denied his first Bundesliga goal by the linesman's flag. He takes the ball on and finishes really well, but was a fraction offside when he received the pass from US international Alfredo Morales.
81'

KRAFT TO THE RESCUE

Thomas Kraft denies the rampaging Ampomah, pushing the Fortuna sub's curling effort onto the woodwork. Superb entertainment, here....

OFF THE LINE!

What is going on in Düsseldorf? Torunarigha turns the ball goalwards but, with Kastenmeier beaten, Suttner hooks off the line at full stretch. It's not over yet, folks!
76'

PIATEK!

Piatek is played through on goal, but goes down under the on-rushing Kastenmeier's challenge. The referee blows his whistle, and Piatek calmly dispatches the ensuing penalty to bring Hertha level. They were 3-0 at the break!
73'

KASTENMEIER REACTIONS

So sloe to the equalising goal. Darida whips in a wicked free-kick from the left. It evades everyone, including Piatek who can't change the flight of the ball in front of goal, but not Kastenmeier. It's unorthodox, but he reads the bounce and bats clear.
69'

HERTHA FIGHTING BACK

This was not in the script! Erik Thommy inadvertently puts through his own net, Vladimir Darida's hopeful cross going in off the Fortuna midfielder's arm. Moments later, Düsseldorf are caught cold on the counter. The defence parts as Cunha picks up possession 20 yards from goal, before firing beyond Kastenmeier with the aid of a deflection off Hoffmann. GAME ON!

OVATION FOR KARAMAN

Superb performance from Karaman. He makes way with what looks like the points in his bag, and his first ever Bundesliga brace to boot. It's quite the story for the midfielder, who missed 14 matches earlier in the campaign after coming down with pneumonia.
57'

KRAFT MAKES THE STOP

Confident build-up again, with Ayhan and Zimmermann advancing well. Kevin Stöger picks up the ball and has a crack from distance, but Kraft gets his body behind it.
48'

DOUBLE CHANGE

Lukebakio was one of Hertha's better players going forward, but interim coach Nouri clearly wants more cover defensively. The Belgian, along with Dilrosun, has come off. Klünter and Mittelstädt are on.

FORTUNA FLYING

The home side make it 3-0 on the stroke of half-time, and you have to say they're good value for their lead. Thommy was given all the time in the world to drift a ball in from the left. Zimmermann did really well to control and cut it back; Hennings stepped over, knowing full well Karaman was waiting to sweep home - and that's exactly what he did. Mountain to climb for Hertha!

FLASHY FORTUNA

Silky smooth from Fortuna once again as Karaman lays the ball off to Hennings. He takes aim, but Hertha get bodies in the way and survive. Can't emphasise enough how much better Fortuna are looking under Rösler. Strange to think they're the tamest attack in the league...
31'

PIATEK DENIED!

Golden chance for Piatek to open his Bundesliga account! Lukebakio plays in the Poland international, but Kastenmeier is off his line in a flash and makes a fine save with his leg. Cunha - all alone in the middle - is livid.
23'

CUNHA TRIES HIS LUCK

Cunha wins the ball in his own half, and shows great feet to take out two players. He sprays the ball out wide right for Lukebakio, before collecting a return pass and skimming an effort off the wet turf and into the grateful arms of Kastenmeier. Awkward one for the Steffen stand-in in these conditions - good goalkeeping.
19'

THE UWE EFFECT

Fortuna do not look like a team fighting for survival - they're knocking the ball around with real confidence in the Hertha half. A neat exchange is only half cleared, before top scorer Rouwen Hennings lashes over the loose ball. Rösler isn't complaining, though.
15'

HERTHA CHANCES

Some tempo to the game in Düsseldorf. Piatek can't find the target from an acute angle, but Hertha come again through Lukebakio. He lets rip from range, with Kastenmeier taking no chances and punching clear. Certainly the kind of night for the speculative with all the rain that's coming down.
10'

THOMMY TIME!

Breathless stuff as Piatek forces a diving save from Kastenmeier. Fortuna break, winning a key second ball in midfield, and all of a sudden Hertha are scrambling to get back into their own area. Erik Thommy cuts inside of Lukebakio and curls an absolute corker beyond the dive of Kraft. Two in two for the VfB Stuttgart loanee - and five for the season.

THROUGH THE LEGS!

Fortuna lead! Kaan Ayhan sprays a fantastic diagonal ball over the top of the midfield for Kenan Karaman. He takes it on and calmly side-foots through the legs of Thomas Kraft. Cool as you like, but where was the Hertha defence?!
4'

FORTUNA COME FORWARD

Erik Thommy does really well to drive forward and find Kevin Stöger, but it's a difficult angle and the shot is off target. Coach Uwe Rösel applauds the effort all the same.

TALKING TACTICS

It looks like Hertha have indeed gone for four at the back, after last weekend's debacle in the 5-0 home defeat to Cologne. Interim coach Alexander Nouri has made SEVEN changes...
