Augsburg come close to a consolation goal as a corner goes deep and is volleyed back across goal, but the USA international is on the line and clears any danger.
It's turned into a difficult evening for Augsburg. As well as trailing by three goals, they've had just seven attempts themselves, but no player has managed more than one.
Noah Sarenren Bazee
Very similar to his goal, Kostic crosses from the left and finds the striker unmarked in the box. This time he goes for the volley, but hits it straight into the ground and Koubek tips over the bar.
GACINOVIC UNDER THE WEATHER?
Mijat Gacinovic has been holding his stomach for some time and appears to be unwell. He makes way for Sebastian Rode now.
FINALLY FOR SILVA
That was the Milan loanee's first Bundesliga goal in four months. Two of his four in the league have now been headers. Frankfurt are clearly practising their heading. Their 10 from headers is the most in the league.
SILVA HEADS HOME!
Frankfurt are running away with this now, and again it's a header. Not Chandler this time but Andre Silva nodding home his fourth league goal of the campaign from Kostic's cross. The Portugal international was also on the scoresheet against Leipzig on Tuesday.
GOAL!3 : 0
HE'S DONE IT AGAIN!
Timothy Chandler actually cannot believe it! He gets across the front post at that corner and flicks it under the bar and past Koubek for his second of the game. It's the first brace of his Bundesliga career. And only Erling Haaland has scored more since the winter break!
GOAL!2 : 0
The Frankfurt skipper has a crack from 20 yards and forces Koubek to tip it over the bar.
It took the hosts a while to get going and they have the in-form Timothy Chandler to thank for their lead. His third goal of the campaign is a personal best, and he's scored three of Eintracht's six since the winter break.
SILVA TRIES HIS LUCK
Space opens up for Andre Silva on the edge of the box and he shoots, but it's straight enough at Koubek.
What a run he's on, and he runs off to celebrate with the bench his third goal in four games! A lovely through ball splits the Augsburg defence and Chandler smashes his effort from the right of the box into the roof of the net.

Frankfurt are forced to make an early substitution with captain David Abraham handing over the armband to replacement Makoto Hasebe. It's a like-for-like switch, and can only mean the Argentine is carrying an injury of some sorts.
MAX HAS A CRACK
Augsburg have a free-kick on the right and a good 30 yards out. Philipp Max is over it, looking like he's about to cross, but he tries to beat Trapp at his near post, in the end firing wide.
KEEPING THEM AT BAY
Augsburg have had two shots so far and restricted Frankfurt to nothing. Martin Schmidt will be pleased after 20 minutes.
It's been 50-50 for possession in the opening 15 minutes. Frankfurt have a free-kick central that Kostic chips into the box, but it bounces straight through to Koubek.
BETTER FROM AUGSBURG
The visitors are on the attack again with a long diagonal ball finding Ruben Vargas making his way into the box on the left. He only has Trapp to beat, but the Germany goalkeeper makes himself big and keeps this game level.
EASING INTO IT
It's been a gentle start to proceedings in Frankfurt, with the game being played mostly in midfield. Augsburg win the first corner of the game, but it's delivered straight into the hands of Kevin Trapp in goal.
Kick-off is just moments away at the Commerzbank Arena. The hosts are on a high after two big results here against Leipzig in the past two weeks. Augsburg also claimed a crucial victory last week at home to Bremen to arrest their January slump.
Augsburg welcome back last season’s top scorer Alfred Finnbogason, who last started a game in November because of injury. Goalkeeper Thomas Koubek is also back in place of Andreas Luthe after illness last week.
